The Shelley Players of New Scotland' are presenting the prizewinning comedy, "Picnic. 11
through Sunday night, July 5. It concerns a young vagabond's
trip through a small mid-western town and the effects of his rampant masculinity on a groUp of variously pent-up women. George Cuttingham plays the muscular tramp who charms a rapidly aging school-marm (played by Jan Rose), a local Sleeping Beauty (Bonnie Lou Kendall), a teenage quiz kid (Ann Williams), and a warm-hearted gossip (Sue Fishman).
The play was originally titled 11Front Porch, 11 but it takes plaCe in the yard between two back porches which have been recreated for the Shelley Players by New York designer, Bobb Nichols.

Joseph J. Krackeler, Jr. of 320 Elm Avenue, Delmar, was graduated from Villanova University on June 1st. He received the degree of Bachelor of Chemical Engineering. While at Villanova, he was on the yearbook staff, the Villanova Engineer Magazine staff, a member of Phi Kappa Pi engineering fraternity, and was selected for Who 1s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. In September Joe will attend the Graduate School of Princeton University where he will study for his Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering. He was graduated from Bethlehem Central High School, class of 1955.

Rooney, pastor of the Church, stated that the conversion "would not be detrimental to the Church. 11

At a recent banquet of the New Scotland Opportunity Club held at Center Inn, Glenmont, officers for the 1959-60 year were elected as fOllows:
President - Mrs. Warren Furbeck; Vice President - Mrs. Isabel Ayers; Program Chairman -Mrs. Wilmot Forward; Secretary Mrs. Elloit Rowe; and Treasurer -Mrs. Warren Jones.
Mrs. Richard Long was chairman of the banquet.
Moving
The Jeromes St. Clair1s of Elsmere will be moving to the Spa area come fall. Right now they are enjoying a vacation down Maine-way and will be back after th.tl first week of July.

Majolica is the keynote of three exhibitors in the LOunge of theDelmarPublic library. Mrs. H. Beckett Lang of Delmar, Mt$. Harold W. Manroe of Elsmere, and Mrs. Thomas F. Sandvidge of Elsmere each have contributed pieces of this rare glazed pottery to make 'up the exhibit for the last show of the Arts and Crafts Exhibit of this season~
The 1890's date the end of the creation of these pieces and the excitement and joy of col ... lectors rests in the fact that be~ side being rare no two pieces are alike. Each piece was made by hand and colored by hand and each varied with the individual creator.
