2 Solar Energy UK Post Show Report 2013
“Very, very good show, we’ve seen a good amount of traffic from visitors com-ing from all sides of the county, even interest from abroad and interest into ex-port activity so this has been a very good and professionally run and very active show.”
Jan Van Laethem, Marketing Manager, SMA
Now in its 4th year, Solar Energy UK 2013 saw the highest attendance levels in the show’s history confirming its un-challenged position as the most important event in the UK solar industry’s calendar. The event attracted 2,424 unique visitors from 42 countries with an exhibition that featured 173 exhibitors, 2 seminar areas and 88 high profile speak-ers as well as 2 feature areas for demonstrations and talks on Practical PV for installers and Large Scale Solar.
Visitor and exhibitor feedback for the event was excellent and the mood at the show was buoyant and full of opti-mism for the year ahead’s trading. This report summarises some of the key statistics surrounding the show along with some of the feedback received and details of the com-panies that are already signed up for 2014. 2014’s show is already shaping up to be bigger and better and we hope that your organisation can be part of it.

“The show went perfect! We have been active in the UK a few years now and since we started a company in Kent this year, we wanted to intensify our pres-ence in the UK by participating at the Solar Energy UK. Lots of interest in our ValkBox and ValkTriple kits and the easy to build ground mount systems.”
Denis de Vette, Van der Valk Solar Systems BV
“From a networking perspective, it’s been fantastic for us. The way the semi-nars have been structured has been very beneficial, you’ve got technical, com-mercial and you’ve also got land management – that was a very good combina-tion, I thought.”
Liza Grey, Marketing Manager, Lightsource
“Solar Energy UK 2013 was a great show. It was also a pleasure to work with the Solar Media team, everybody was very helpful.”
Alexandra Holub, Marketing, JinkoSolar GmbH

“We were looking for the best platform in the industry to launch our innova-tive solar panel security bracket and after reviewing options chose Solar Energy UK because of previous year’s exhibitor feedback and visitor demographics. We were also impressed with the cross section of exhibitors and the footfall the show generated. We sold out of all stock and left with enough contacts to get our product launched throughout Europe. Pre-show communications and aftercare and follow ups from Solar Media have been exceptional. I would 100% recommend this show for anyone in the same position as ourselves.”
Peter Maceroy, Managing Director, Solar Panel Security
“We’ve just won our first solar panel ground mount project with JCPS on the back of exhibiting @_SolarEnergy - great news!”
