In the year 2016, CEMS-Global celebrated the 17th anniversary of Textech by organizing the `17th Textech Bangladesh 2016 International Expo’ – An International Exhibition on Textile Apparel Technology and Machinery, along with concurrent exhibitions - `10th Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show 2016’ and “25th Dye+Chem Bangladesh 2016 Expo”, which showcased Textile & Garment Machinery, Accessories, Dyes & Chemicals, International Yarn & Fabric Manufacturers; which were focused on the entire Textile & Garment world and also the entire Export sector of Bangladesh. This mega show had been scheduled from 31 August~3 September, 2016 at the International Convention City, Bashundhara-Dhaka-Bangladesh. Nearly 1050 Exhibitors from over 23 countries along with important Industry Associations had participated in these Exhibitions. These 3 exhibitions in one go had targeted the entire business community and had played an important role by assembling Worldwide Technology, Machinery and Material manufacturers at the doorsteps of the Manufacturers of Bangladesh under one roof to appraise them of the latest developments and technology available; which had further enabled Bangladesh to compete in the World market.
The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), Basic Chemicals Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics Export Promotion Council (CHEMEXCIL), & The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) had also participated with their Members at this expo. Broadcast Partner was: Independent TV, Radio Partner was: Radio Next, Media Partners were: The Daily Shomokal & New Age, Wifi Partner was: Aamra Network, Online Security Partner was: Digital Security Solutions, Creative Partner was: Market Edge Ltd & IT Partner was: AAMAR Tech. Concurrently a forum on the Textile & Apparel Industry titled “3rd TEXAPP Bangladesh 2016” was held on 31 August 2016, at 04:00 pm. CEMS Global had also organized a forum on MICE Tourism titled “Unfolding Opportunities for Bangladesh MICE Tourism Market” on September 01, 2016 at 04:00 pm to add value to events such as Conventions, Incentives, Exhibitions, Events, Dealer/ Sales Incentives trips and the likes.

Concurrent Program Forum - 3rd TEXAPP Bangladesh 2016
Bangladesh Textile & Apparel Forum, was held on the 31st of August 2016, on the sidelines of Bangladesh’s Oldest and Biggest Exhibition on Textile Apparel machinery and Technology - `17thTextech Bangladesh 2016 International Expo’. `3rd TEXAPP Bangladesh 2016’ was organized to bring together Textile and Apparel Industry leaders & Machinery Importers of Bangladesh under one roof. Bangladesh has a tremendous potential and is all set to become the leading country of the World with its Textile & Apparel exports, if a proper reform, strategy, coordinated effort and plan is adopted at the earliest by the Bangladeshi Textile & Apparel Industry leaders, the country can set new dimensions and lead Textile & Apparel exports in the world in the long run which can be only possible by a combined effort of the Bangladeshi Textile & Apparel Industry with discussion. Also of importance is the Machinery, which is extremely important to keep the Industry at par with the International competition using the latest technology available to them. In this forum, discussion was held on the topic “Driving Business with Knowledge” and the honorable distinguished speakers were- Mr. Faruque Hassan, Senior Vice President, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA); Dr. N. N. Mahapatra, National Vice-Chairman, Textile Association (India) and Mr. A. S. M Tareq Amin, Editor, Bangladesh Textile Today. Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor, BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology had moderated the whole discussion.

A Forum on MICE Tourism, was held on 01st September 2016, at 04:30 pm, on the sidelines of Bangladesh’s Oldest and Biggest Exhibition on Textile Apparel Machinery and Technology - `17th Textech Bangladesh 2016 International Expo’. MICE Forum titled as “Unfolding Opportunities for Bangladesh MICE Tourism Market” was arranged to add value to events such as Conventions, Incentives, Exhibitions, Events, Dealer/ Sales Incentives trips and the likes. This type of conference was the first of its kind to be held in the country. In 17th Textech Bangladesh 2016 International Expo- 1050 companies are participating from 23 countries around the world. Therefore in this huge gathering of foreign exhibitors a forum on MICE Tourism will be fruitful. Tourism is a rising industry in Bangladesh and it has tremendous potentiality. There are so many beautiful places in Bangladesh which are rich of natural beauty, history, vibrant culture etc. All the year round, a lot of business people, expatriates and corporate people from around the world come to Bangladesh for their work purpose. They can have a look at this beautiful country and explore the treasures of it. This type of forum on MICE Tourism will help Bangladesh to further step forward into tourism industry in the country and thus contribute to the economy. Moreover, the more people will come to Bangladesh, the more they will get to know about this country and it will be easy to build a friendly relationship with other countries of the world.
