Interviewer: Can we meet you, sir? Interviewee: I am Mr. Odesanmi, a teacher by

profession. I teach Economics (SS2) Interviewer: You were a participant in the

recently concluded Annual Staff Seminar of Ambassadors College tagged, ‘One Great Teacher, Many Great Destinies,’ how would you describe the seminar?

Interviewee: Well, the seminar was a blessing. It was a blessing in the sense that it was a sort of revelation on the teaching profession. It informed the teachers that destinies lie in their hands, and all efforts must be mustered to ensure that these destinies are assisted and coordinated to bring them to reality.

Interviewer: Thank you, sir. Now, what actually are the things you found impactful and would be long-lasting, during the seminar? What will you remember?

Interviewee: I’m overall blessed. But the actual aspect that touched me the most was the topic on Mentoring Students for Effective Performance. It actually showed me that teachers are models, leading by examples, not only for students but also for other people around.

Interviewer: Can you share with us some of the resolutions you have made based on the seminar? This new session, what should the students expect from you, what should other members of staff expect?

Interviewee: Actually, from that day, I’ve decided to upgrade my life as a model, spiritually, morally, and academically. The school should expect a rebranded teacher as well as the students.

Interviewer: What words of advice do you haveffor the staff, students and the parents?

Interviewee: Okay, my piece of advice centres on mentoring students for effective performance. In life, everybody should see himself/herself as both a mentor and a protégée.

Interviewer: We want to thank you for taking your time Interviewee: Thank you so much, you’re welcome.

Interviewer: Can we meet you, sir? Interviewee: I’m Agboola J.O., I teach English Language

(SS3). I have been teaching here since 2006. Interviewer: You were a participant in the recently

concluded Annual Staff Seminar of Ambassadors College tagged, ‘One Great Teacher, Many Great Destinies,’ how would you describe the seminar?

Interviewee: Being an annual event, each year we learn new things. I believe the seminar is meant to change our orientation as teachers on how to relate with the students, on how to impact their lives. Over the years, the seminar has been worth the while. There is no year you don’t get one thing or the other that you didn’t know before. For instance, this year’s seminar was an eye opener in that we now understand the teacher is at the centre of what students can become. Therefore, a teacher is expected to be ready to bring himself down to the level of his students.

Interviewer: Thank you, sir. Now, what actually are the things you found impactful and would be long-lasting, during the seminar? What will you remember?

Interviewee: I will remember, as I have said, that whatever a student would become in life begins and ends with the efforts of a teacher. That’s very important. And the way you relate, treat, or handle the students determines the end result. On a personal note, I also learnt how to lead a meaningful life by watching what I eat, good diet, and so on.

Interviewer: Can you share with us some of the resolutions you have made based on the seminar? This new session, what should the students expect from you, what should other members of staff expect?

Interviewee: Oh, I will be more careful with the way I treat my students, more respectful to them because they are important, and the way I treat them will go a long wayninnimpactingntheirnlife.

Interviewer: What words of advice do you have formthe staff, students and the parents?

Interviewee: Okay, for the students, they should face their studies and avoid juvenile frivolities and delinquencies. For the teachers, respect your students. They are human beings and they willrremember what you do to them now in the future.

Interviewer: We want to thank you for taking your time Interviewee: Thank you.

Interviewer: Can we meet you, ma? Interviewee: I am Oyeniran O. K. I teach Business Studies (JSS1) and

Economics (SS1) Interviewer: You were a participant in the recently concluded Annual

Staff Seminar of Ambassadors College tagged, ‘One Great Teacher, Many Great Destinies,’ how would you describe the seminar?

Interviewee: The seminar indeed was an educative one, and I would say that it was a life transforming experience. And as a teacher, it really exposes me to a lot of things that I would inculcate in my students that would bring out the best in them.

Interviewer: Thank you, ma. Now, what actually are the things you found impactful and would be long-lasting, during the seminar? What will you remember?

Interviewee: I will remember the seminar on mentoring, that mentoring requires all of one’s being – physical, spiritual, all other areas. When you mentor a life, a student, it is not just on the surface, you are really developing, building that life, that student. Another, aspect that really touched me was ‘Healthy Lifestyle.’ It was just a superb topic. I was exposed to a lot of things, which I had never heard before.

Interviewee: I’ve resolved to do much more than I’ve been doing before. I will try as much as I can, in my capacity, to contribute positively to the lives of my students by giving them the necessary things that would make them achieve their purpose in life.

Interviewer: What words of advice do you havenfor the staff, students and the parents?
