The morning is clear, cold, and snowy.
Jack Frost stops by for a cup 'a coffee.
Tis ok... I'm home. Safe, snug and warm.
Piled high is my stack of books.
My favorite coffee cup filled to the brim...
There really isn't a reason to change outta the pj's is there?
As we snuggle down to read, 'just one more story'.
I can't help but wish I could freeze this moment.
With my lil' babes and projects and books and coffee.
I wish you many, many happy moments this winter.
I hope you enjoy browsing my latest farmhouse creations!

My younger Daughter being born, early, on December 23rd! I remember being about the only person in the Hospital over Christmas, but my Husband and older Daughter (who was 2 and a half) came with presents for the Newest Daughter's First Christmas. It was sweet...and had us all remember that very First of Christmases: we were far away from Home (on an Air Force Base), with a Newborn, with just us to celebrate... -Laura S.
Favorite winter memories from friends-customers
We lived on the edge of town with no houses on the other side of the street and we were blessed with a large picture window to stare out of. the dump trucks would come and one by one dump their loads of snow in a line down the street. many many trucks and loads--and it took a whole day to watch. then the snow-go, with it's blades whirling would come and munch up all the snow and spit it all over the apple trees and empty field. -Marne A.
Standing in the warm kitchen balancing on one foot and hanging on to Mom's shoulders as she bent down and pulled plastic bread sacks over our socks. Next we stepped into hand-me-down red rubber boots and held still for the layers of warm clothing to follow. The rest of the afternoons were a blur of great fun flying on sleds down every hill we could find with all the neighborhood kids (and Dad more than once!) - until we heard the old cast iron bell ringing us home where Mom waited with mugs of hot chocolate. -Amy H.
When I was a little girl my sisters and brothers and I would play in the snow for hours. We would break big icicles off of the porch or wherever they were hanging and eat them like Popsicle's!- Kelly A.
Hiking up a snow covered Mt with baby on back to pick the most amazing tree out of a special grove...then back to the car for brandy and hot apple cider with salami, rye and watercress sandwiches.-Laura S.
