Melbourne, VIC Australia 3004 Tel: +613 9866 1171 Fax: +613 9821 4112 Email: [email protected] Website: www.cdc.net.au After ZOOM Whitening As with most whitening systems, it is common to experience some sensitivity, particularly on the first night, we do in 2hous what would take 2 weeks with the “take home kit” You should take some Nurofen or Nurofen plus anti-inflammatory tablets as directed for the rest of the day of your appointment. You may take 2 tablets before sleeping if necessary. The sensitivity should have largely subsided by the next day. (If you are allergic to aspirin or have a stomach ulcer, substitute nurofen for panadol or panadine) We have provided you with some GC Tooth Mousse Crème to apply to your teeth following whitening, to help reduce sensitivity and rehydrate the enamel. Start using it straight away. Any mottling or translucency that occurs on the tooth surfaces is normal, due to dehydration of the enamel and will blend and disappear over the next 7 days. INSTRUCTIONS FOR “TOOTH MOUSSE” - Using a cotton bud, or your finger, apply a generous layer of the mousse to the front surfaces of the teeth. - Alternately, you can deliver the mousse into your custom made trays and have a concentrated treatment. - Leave undisturbed for 20 minutes. Do not rinse for 30minutes afterwards - Use twice daily for 5 days. - Tooth mousse is a milk derivative and is non toxic and is safe to swallow. - If you have any concerns please call us. TEN DAYS after your Zoom appointment, you need to ‘touch up’ your whitening. Don’t forget to avoid aforementioned substances for 5 days after your zoom and whilst doing your ‘touch- up’ whitening INSTRUCTIONS FOR ‘TOUCH UP’ WHITENING - Brush and floss your teeth prior to whitening - Place one drop (about this size O ) of whitening gel in the front of each of the tooth wells of your Custom made trays - Place trays in mouth and wipe off any excess whitening gel from around the gum with a tissue (any excess can burn the gum.. use a little next time if this occurs) - Leave trays in mouth for 2 hours - After 2 hours, remove trays, rinse mouth vigorously with water, to remove residual whitening gel - Use for 3 days - Follow 5 days of tooth mousse (as per above instructions) to seal the teeth You have now completed your ZOOM WHITENING SYSTEM Teeth may need a ‘touch up’ whitening treatment every 3,6 or 12 months, depending on your lifestyle and how well your teeth hold the colour. After ZOOM Whitening
