Commission Meeting Scheduled for May 5th in Carson City
The next Commission Meeting is scheduled to be held at POST’s Classroom 2, 5587 Wa Pai Shone Ave, Car-son City, NV starting at 8:00 A.M. Among the topics to be discussed is the establishment of a regulation re-garding training for incidents involving dogs or where dogs are present. Access the Commission Meetings page on our website for more information.
Info on Reporting Professional Training Professional training is important for an officer to achieve POST Professional Certifi-cates. It is each officer’s responsibility to make sure that their professional training records at POST are accurate and that all professional training is in the POST data-base -- especially the courses completed prior to 2015. Officers can request a listing of all of the training that has been reported to POST by going to the Forms page of the POST website and filling out the “Request for Duplicate Documents” form and selecting “Officer Training Report” or requesting a report from their SPOC (through Snapshot). POST will be starting a project to review all certified professional courses
to ensure they comply with the NAC. Old courses and those that do not comply with the NAC will be decerti-fied and deactivated so that training will no longer be valid or accepted. Reminder: Once training is entered, it will need to go through the nightly cycle before it is present in our system. Please allow 24 hours for POST to receive and reflect submitted documents.
