Post Graduate Diplomas Short Course Professional Qualifications

At HC Skills International, we believe that Professional development – doesn’t need to take forever. WHETHER you are a clinician with a teaching role as part of your professional responsibility or an employee of a medical device company who has a responsibility to provide support to clinical teams, our courses provide the additional skills for professional development in these respective roles.

All HC Skills International learning programmes are tailored to the Professional Development requirements of those undertaking them and they conform to their respective professional disciplines and specialties.

Furthermore, our courses are delivered in our virtual classroom by experts with the defining knowledge and experience in their fields.

How can we deliver a Postgraduate Diploma learning programme over a short period of time?

The answer lies in the level of entry to our courses. Delegates registering for our short-course qualifications are professionals who have Accredited Prior Learning (APL) or Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) evidence that is verifiable, at degree level or above.

The PGDip in Human Factors and Neuro Science, for example, has beenapproved by EduQual as being commensurate with Level 7 (Postgraduate) Qualifications in the United Kingdom.

This course is a vocational qualification and is open only to those who have recognised prior learning (RPL) in their specialty and have a responsibility for support or training i.e. a medical, nursing or healthcare-related degree.

HC Skills International is a fully registered and accredited training institution delivering sector-leading courses and officially recognised and externally regulated qualifications to medical professionals and to healthcare industry employees who are required to interact with them.

C kills is expanding its portfolio of class-leading trainingprogrammes by introducing a new rain irst course forprofessionals in the healthcare sector. The initiative will see the company form a partnership withresearch scientist and clinical educator Denise Cafarelli Deeswith the aim of turbo-charging your brain power .

The rain irst course is a professional development programme which will result in theawarding of a ostgraduate Diploma in uman actors and Neuroscience to the successfulcandidates. The aim of the course is to enable clinical teams or sales teams from medical devicecompanies to make better decisions for greater impact with more effective engagement.

ne of the revolutionary aspects of the programme will be the focus on demonstrating thefact that the activity of the brain and its physical characteristics change when decisions aremade or ideas conceived.t is this awareness or having the brain in mind that will result in better decision-making,a greater understanding of patients requirements and an enhanced ability to interact withcolleagues.

ituational awareness, external engagement, communications leadership, relationshipinfluencing and inner and outer improvement are some of the core principles explored bythe course.

ptimal functioning is the global goal as is the avoidance of brain overload , which canadversely affect decision-making and professional performance.

ur brains have tremendous capacity to learn. ow training is delivered and the learningenvironment in which it is delivered impact on the mental capacity to transfer newlyacquired knowledge and skills. rain friendly changes to the way training is delivered canimprove the opportunity for the transfer of learning. To date, two pilot courses on decision-making have been presented by C kills andDenise Cafarelli Dees, of rain irst, to individuals working in the healthcare industry. And 1 experienced Cochlear mplant surgeons from across urope, the iddle ast andAfrica who were participating in a course on complex case management en oyed a firstsession on the Neuroscience of Decision aking and atient ducation in the clinicalmanagement of patients with complex needs or who present with challenging surgicalissues.Decision-making is in the locus of someone s control. They have the power to breakpatterns of behaviour simply by making better decisions. They can change their mind andactions at any time, even when they re stuck in a cycle of rut-like thinking.

aving a better understanding of the neuroscience behind decision-making helps peoplemake decisions that lead to improved outcomes.
