Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is preparing tomorrow’s leaders to

help create a bright future for the Rochester/Finger Lakes region.

Rochester Chamber believes that informed, interconnected individuals can inspire

inclusive success, helping to grow our economy while

facing some of this community’s toughest challenges.

In Summer 2017, Rochester Chamber launched the CLIMB

(Chamber Leadership Initiative: Mentoring For Business)

program, seeking young professional employees from

local companies that display:

Through intimate conversations and experiences with some

of the business community’s most noteworthy successes,

including personal wisdom from star CEOs and their teams,

participants better understand the choices and challenges

that made these

organizations what they are

today and how this region fits

into the global marketplace.

Participants are also joined by community and political leaders to

discuss crucial issues facing this region, and asked to be part of the

solution by joining the Future

Leaders’ Advisory Council

(FLAC) upon successful

completion of the program.

Over 10 months, CLIMBers also receive personalized leadership

development training, focusing on the critical internal

foundation that allows great leaders to motivate and inspire.

CLIMB participants emerge from the program with exceptional knowledge of winning

strategies, sustainable business practices, authentic leadership, community issues, and

the broader regional economy. This enriches their organizations, helping to drive best

practices and innovation. It also creates strong ties to the Rochester/Finger Lakes region,

engaging and retaining top talent.

THE VOICE OF PROGRESS

The Future Leaders Advisory Council will provide key

insight and engagement with Rochester Chamber

leadership, contributing insight into the future.

Members are afforded opportunities to make a

difference on issues like education, health care, poverty,

workforce development, and more, and also to help to

shape the CLIMB program for the years to come.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR THE CREAM OF THE CROP

The Rochester Chamber CLIMB program seeks the best

and brightest young professionals (age 25-40) from our

valued member and partner organizations. These

individuals should be future or current leaders who

would benefit from an enhanced network and valuable

resources within the Rochester/Finger Lakes

community, and who could contribute to Rochester

Chamber as a voice of progress and leadership.

HOW TO APPLY

The above-mentioned qualities should be described

through a Letter of Intent and a Letter of

Recommendation from the individual’s manager or

employer, and a one-time tuition payment of $1750 is
