Academic Qualification
- Shall have a bachelors in civil engineering or at least graduation degree in science field.
Technical Qualification
- Shall have five (5) years experience in working as a laboratory supervisor in construction material testing laboratory
- Shall be able to perform lab and on-site testing of soil, concrete, aggregate and asphalt materials. - Shall have knowledge of ASTM Standards, British Standards and ISO 17025 Quality Management
System requirements - Shall have excellent skill in operating Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint - Must holds a valid driving license - Must be enthusiastic, hardworking, punctual, team leader and problem solver
Job Description
- Supervisor shall have in-depth knowledge and can perform the following tests independently as per requirements of ASTM and BS:
o Soil (sieve analysis, atterberg limits, classification, MDD/OMC, max./ min. density, CBR, specific gravity, field density tests by nuclear and sand cone method etc.)
o Concrete (slump, temperature, unit weight, air content, cylinder/cube making, curing, density, capping, compressive strength, Schmidt hammer, coring, hollow blocks / paving blocks / kerbs testing etc.)
o Aggregate (sampling, sample quartering, sieve analysis, clay lumps, soundness, loss angeles, absorption, particle density, flakiness and elongation index etc.)
o Asphalt (bitumen extraction, marshall compaction, stability and flow, bulk & theoretical specific gravity etc.)
- Shall conduct technicians training program and evaluation exams on quarterly basis - Prepare the lab / site testing schedule and submit to Lab Manager. Plan and assign task to
technicians - Ensure testing is done in compliance with international standards and client requirements. - Prepare & review the test reports and verify as per project specifications / client requirements and
submit to Lab Manager for signature - Shall schedule & ensure sample collection from sites and deliver to main lab - Preparation of customer invoices - Review the timesheets of technicians - Notify Lab Manager before calibration of any equipment expires. Shall perform in-house calibration
of equipment’s - Ensure easy traceability of lab documents and records - Maintain equipment’s. Keep inventory of the site and lab equipment in main lab - Maintain the log book of incoming samples and outgoing equipment’s / vehicles on daily basis - Shall follow the procedures of lab quality management system and comply with ISO 17025 and
MOW-MED requirements
