Welcome to Europes best small port
THE CIT Y CENTRE IS JUST FO OTSTEPS FROM THE SHIP
The cruise terminal’s location in the very centre of
the town makes it possible for passengers to walk
straight into the picturesque Art Nouveau town.
Ålesund can offer a wide range of attractions
and a large number of excursions for passengers.
Arriving by ship will also give the passengers a
unique encounter with the town as they are sailing
between island and inlets on arrival.
Ålesund is one of the most important ports on
the west coast of Norway, and welcomes cruise
ships from all over the world. The fairway to the
port is excellent due to a wide and deep trench,
Breisundet, leading all the way from the open
sea into the port. The port facilities enable cruise
ships of any size to be docked at the “Cruise
Terminal” in the very centre of the town.
Ålesund has a good reputation and long
traditions as a cruise port. Its location makes the
port an ideal destination for cruise ships sailing
Fjord- and North Cape cruises. Every year more
than 100 cruise ships choose this popular port
with its famous attractions. The port can provide
a wide variety of services for visiting liners, their
passengers and crews.
