There are many young people that do not value SENTIMENTAL objects as much as objects with MONETARY value. With the rise of technology over the past de-cade, many people are attached to their devices and constantly staying connected to their peers through social media and text messaging. Technology is impacting our culture and making communication between people easier, but less personal.

what do people value?

What is an heirloom for future generations?

what is an heirloom?Something that is passed down from one family member to another; a sentimental object that may or may not have monetary value

Danielle will wear Legacy which car-ries part of her family’s identity, re-minding her where she came from. The metal will wear down over time and the watch will live with with her and be part of experiences she has while getting older.

How can Gabriela become a more efficient swimmer

during the swim portion of an IRONMAN?TRAININGThe ironman triathalon is one of the most difficult races someone can train for. Gabriela will have to train for over a year in order to complete it . This 360 focuses on the feelings that she’ll be having both training and during the event.

//less impact than dry land training//decreased risk of injury

//helps increase endurance and speed gradually

why resistance training?

Exploring different materials in the water

helped me deter-mine the stretch and

final material that would be best for the

sleeve. Darlexx, a type of nylon span-

dex, was the best option because of its water resistant quali-ties and compression. It dries easily and will stay in place during a swim because of the elastic grips that are sewn on the top and

bottom.

The muscles that are high-lighted in blue are being used at the point in the stroke. The swim sleeve

will help Gabriela focus on these muscles without

lifting weights.

SEVEN DEADLY SINShand woven jaquard fabric

The pattern is read from left to right. The orange color represents holes that need to be punched out in the cards. Then, they will be

sewn together and put onto the loom.

Term which refers to a specific type of fabric construction involving a supplementary warp. This supplementary warp can be used to add color and detail in selected areas on the face of the fabric. The liseré ef-fect is not seen on the face of the fabric, it is hidden along the back as loosely tacked “floats.” The black dots in the pattern below are tacked down “floats”
