• DLI Asian School II • Korean Basic Program – 64 week

intensive program• OCONUS Program at Korea

University ( 고려대학교 ) – collaborate effort- 3 teams (40 students) in FY 09- 3 teams (35 students) in FY 10- 6 teams (60+ students) in FY 11

3. Student Log (Writings)

1. Accuracy was not required. Writing was not our major concern during OCONUS.

2. Two entries per week• Activities, people, field trips, food.• Language learning experiences• Cultural awareness• Emotional changes

3. Students started email exchanges with host family and/or 도우미 (student helper)• Some students felt relieved by becoming

familiar before departure.

Conclusions

Through Portfolio Projects,1. Students

• Clearer goals and better organized. • Improve language skills.• Share information with others.• Cherish their wonderful memory forever.

2. Administrators collect valuable data for program improvement.

3. Teachers use them as evaluation tools.
