MSC Coursework Dissertation:Innovation in Construction
Ben North - Portfolio of Work10
This 20,000 word piece of work constituted a third ofthe overall degree and was the key component ofobtaining a MSc. I choose the subject of innovation inthe construction industry and reviewed as much of theavailable literature as possible. From there I puttogether hypotheses and tested them using surveyinstruments and data analysis. Using my contacts inthe industry I was able to gain a valuable insight intothe levels of innovation already present inconstruction and compare it to the perceived notionsgiven in the literature. The results allowed me to put forwardrecommendations to foster innovation with an aim totake advantage of new technologies and gain acompetitive advantage in the marketplace.
