I am a 24 year old Industrial Design student at Delft University of Technology, currently in the last year of my masters in Design For Interaction (DFI). Meanwhile, my entrepreneurial nature led me to set up a design agency with two fellow students, developing several new products and business concepts. As a keen traveler I have had thethe privilege to see many countries, experience the wide variety of cultures and have studied their approach to tackling design challenges. With my creative personality I love to design products that are easy to use for everyone. As an interaction designer I am privileged to be the link between research and integrated product design. The ultimate User eXperience (UX) is what drives me in all my design work. For me it is very satisfying to see the customers interact with my creations. creations. In my spare time I love to play basketball with friends, which for me contains a very important team aspect. The simplicity, dedication and team spirit that I bring to my design work has been valued by companies like Feadship, Wacom and Microsoft.

RimoreRimore brings a new attitude to yachting and wealth; one that moves away from the overly adorned vessels and common trends in opulent yacht design, towards a new state of mind that focuses on qualityquality and simplicity. This privately owned research yacht embodies the combination of leisure and (deep) sea exploration; a carefree quest for new kind of luxury yachting experience, whichwhich is designed with it's environment in mind. Rimore is the first superyacht concept that translates a break-through mind shift into form, function and design.

Bamboo Paper 2.0We were asked by Wacom to carry out a in depth usability study of Bamboo Paper, a note taking app for the iPad. Our research revealed that many of its current users would like a tweaked user interface and a greater focus on note taking. Based on these results we mademade redesign to improve the user experience. Improving the experience using Bamboo Stylus (a pen for tablets) as an input device was the main objective. The writing area was increased by introducing gestures, which removed the need for navigationnavigation bars. The introduction of the smart menu, which follows the tip of the stylus allows for intuitive and quick navigation. Adding functionality like copying, pasting, resizing and rotating increased the functionality greatly, making Bamboo Paper a great all round note taking app.all round note taking app.

MetropolisI took inspiration from the city of Barcelona with its many contrasts. Not only between the organic and urban architecture, but also between day and night. This contrast I used as a theme to design a new interior lightinglighting product. The lack of constraints allowed for a highly creative design process, during which large range of shapes, sizes and materials were considered. The final design and prototype consists of interwoveninterwoven acrylic and silicone putty. This enhances the organic look of the product which can be endlessly reconfigured. The LED lights give a dazzling effect and are a great green alternative to the classing light bulb.classing light bulb.

"Soe" is a 'personal heating' device. Ideal for warming up without turning on the central heating. The product consists of two layers; one layer with a heating wire and isolating material and the other of elastic fabricfabric that can stretch over your body. Moving the zipper over four levels (off, low, medium and high) adjusts the temperature. LED lights and a vibrator are implemented to give the user feedback when adjusting the heatingheating level. Soe" can be unplugged at the bottom. This way the user is able to wear the product while answering the door of phone.

E-books are very popular nowadays. In fact, they are starting to replace books, magazines and papers. The printed medium might disappear but the content itself will stay. Many book lovers are afraidafraid that the identity of books will disappear as well as the experience. The new interface should maintain the experience as it has been in the past five centuries but transfer it towards electronic devices. In addition, addition, new features have been developed to create a new reading experience that matches with the way we interact with products nowadays.

Pressice is a unique combination of pressure and icing; a solution to many sport injuries and injury time. Instead of pre-shaped pressure products, this concept is versatile and can be attached tightly to most body parts. The compartmentcompartment designed for implementing gel packs is covered by a detachable fabric, which prevents the skin from freezing. In order to restrict the flow of blood reaching the rest of the body, a pressure indicator isis added on the outside. A nice addition to this product idea is the pump up ball, which could be changed to any sport related design.

A unique assignment for the Amsterdam Medical Centre (AMC) called for a new product to improve the current way arthroscopic surgeries of the ankle joint are performed. Space and direct control over adjustmentsadjustments is required to perform the job well. The distractor operates by moving the surgeon̓s hips. Movement is transferred from the surgeon to the patient. The surgeon is able to creating space in the desired directiondirection by maneuvering the distractor. This interactive concept is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also fast to apply, safe for surgeon and patient, sterile and ergonomic.
