Atmosphere, history and charm for your eventLike Berlin itself, our event rooms are different and variable – it feels as if they are filled with the spirit of Berlin. From the wooden panel on the ceiling of our antique banquet hall with its fish-bone parquet floor and the original stucco up to our wine bar with its massive and chandelier-crow-ned wooden table which invites you to get together.
World history was written in our rooms as we welcomed some very prominent guests like Martin Luther King, who visited our hotel during his trip to East Berlin and had din-ner with some important members of the church. His signa-ture in our guest book and our own chapel are witnesses of his visit. Since 2010, there is a memorial note near the ent-rance of our hotel which reminds of his only visit to Berlin.
Restaurant ALvis – the warmest cuisine of the cityIn our own restaurant ALvis, guests turn into friends. During your event in our house or during catering in your own location, our chef Wolfgang Kanow shows you his culinary creations. As a true son of Berlin, he is head of our Restaurant Alvis with the famous Berlin attitude, but still always cooking with regional and seasonal products and with a sense for other cuisines - because Berlin eats in many different ways.

We could have called this function room the „Old Beau“ or by another name, but from an objective point of view it´s rather an “Original Berlin function room“ be-cause of its beautiful ceiling and chandeliers.
With an area of 75 m², original wooden panel and parquet floor you will feel taken back into good old times of a former Berlin.
Our “Antique One” is very versatile and can be the perfect fit for many occasions and events, such as family and company celebrations at round tables, (press) confe-rences, meetings, lectures, seminars, workshops and receptions as well as weddings.

A big function room that can be divided into two separate units. Our twins are ele-gantly furnished and create an impression of sitting in a gallery. Parquet floor, set off with carpet and a matching furniture are giving the room a stylish atmosphere.
The big and bright window front to Marienstrasse allows to catch a glance of real daily life in Berlin. The incoming daylight combined with dimmable lighting create an atmosphere that is ideal to work with. By means of a retractable room divider, the twins can be seperated into two equally large rooms.
However, both rooms can also be rented individually for presentations, meetings or parties for up to 20 people. Each one of the rooms includes a beamer and an Apple TV.

G. H. T. Fliedner 1800-1864 | Was a German Lutheran minister and founder of Lutheran deaconess training. In 1836, he founded Kaiserswerther Diakonie, a hospital and deaconess training center. He is commemorated as a renewer of society in the Calendar of Saints of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America on October 4 and by the Evangelical Church in Germany on October 5th.

This event room also known as “The Youngish“ or “Johann H. Wichern“, is our smallest event room and suitable for meetings for up to eight persons. This mo-dern furnished room is located right next to the antique “Jochen Klepper“. Like the “Weinstube“ this one has a chandelier as well. The big window faces Marienstrasse, a sunny side street, which lets daylight into the room.

„The Sociable One“Function Room „Weinstube“ (Wine Taverne)
The center of function room “Weinstube“ is the massive mahogany table for up to 12 people. Together with an impres-sive chandelier hanging from the ceiling it has a nice charisma. This room may be used for festivities with the social aspect in focus from family get togethers and jubilees like birthdays or business dinners.
In addition, our “Weinstube“ is perfect for meetings for up to 12 people because of its quiet atmosphere. The light of the individually dimmable chandelier and the incoming daylight create a special feeling. Our own restaurant will be in charge of your culinary experience. Chef Wolfgang Kanow cooks with charm and the typical Berlin mentality on a high level. Just call us, we will be there to fulfil your wishes.

Our courtyard is like an oasis in the middle of Berlin and is open during the summer months for all guests. During winter, it is Berlins smallest winter forest in which Christmas and family events are taking place.
