The final project for the 2nd year of Design Studio.
Located on the rocky coast of Southern California, we were to design a non- denominational chapel with a set of programmatic elements. The site, which included a small island off the mainland, was subject to tides that flooded the sand bar between the mainland and the island. Of the many programmatic elements, the space to sit 40 people can be seen in the far right picture, the stairway leading down to the single person meditation space in the far left picture, and the 10 person meditation space located on the island. 2012
