sustainability should be one of the major concerns and forcuses of residential building in hong kong
careful careful considerations of sustainability in design stagae will bene-fit both the users and the construction delivery process
as residential buildings should cope with the needs of their users and the wider commu-nity, a certain level of efficiency and flexibili-ty will be needed

Due to variety of reasons, the able group of the population tends to be
more active away from Chuen Wan; leaving the elderly, the young and
perhaps the unfit to stay behind, forming a gap in the district.
To bridge an vital age gap in the society - "Neighbourhood Rejuvenation"
"Rejuvenation of the missing link" the missing link
* here means the missing of the vital age group.
CONCEPT
PROGRAMME
Base on all the research done, we have concluded "three parts" of
development, they are:
· The Milk Bar (Social place for the youth)
· The Flea Market (bargain exchange for the elderly)
· The DIY Recycling Centre (a place for the value of old receive revaluation,redressed and introduce to the young)

After several phases, we noticed that a good building needs to con-sider about the balance point between green and urban design.
We started from the social problem of Sham Shui Po. There are severe air pollutionquality, lack of leisure area for the elderly. Besides this there are also Subdivided Unit and Poor Hygiene.
We set the shopping mall facade with the green wall since it can provide different advantages.Such as , Interior Temperature Regulation, Facade Protection and Ventilation.
Provide on leisure area and cultural communication area are the elderly are key element of our design , Funthermore, Sham Shui Po have their own characteristics, so we provide the cultural communication area on order to preserve this kind of culture.
