Born in 1987.

2006 He finished high school at the Technical Institute Holy Family Bruges in 2006, graduated as a student of Architectural and Interior Art.

2007 He’s got his certificate of SA2-Welding TV+PV.

2010 Internship at Quinze and Milan for six months.

2010 Graduated with honor in the course Industrial Product Design at the University College of West-Flanders, dept.PIH in Kortrijk, Belgium.

Inspired at a young age by skate-snowboarding, dismantling bmx-bikes and music violence, he now relays on a better sight of thinking as a human. Looking at people and seeing the struggle, he combines creating, inventing and improving things of the everyday life. Janwillem sees design as a warm glow of motivation. His products are carefully poured into shapes that a mental acuity creates with an formal strictness. Underlying with an research into the history of design and architecturecombined with his acquaintance for materials and technology.

You can store up to 3 kilo in the pill so two chickens can last a week without a refill. The pill is made of silicone so when the chicken picks it will deform, seeds will fall out for a second and it will return to it’s original state.There is a shovel provided in the top, you push the top inwards, after filling the pill you can pop it out again.

Pool, garden, driveway This project should bring innovation within the range of Collstrop,

therefore I thought not directly garden houses and carports. But earlier compartments housing, mobile homes, tree houses. After having searched for information I came to a basic form, a canopy held up by the counterweight of the storing compartment. This project can be used as a storage room, summer, barbecue, pool house, ... Because of the overhanging canopy it’s fitted to park a vehicle under it,to swing over the pool ... This gives not only protection against sun, rain and snow, leaves, twigs, bird droppings ...it gives you a sense of atmosphere. This project fits in a contemporary environment.

The lamp contains a power-led so you can take the light to bed for reading. You can position de light angle for avoiding reflections of the paper or when it’s laid down you create an ambient light.

StreetsThis is a safety devise for children. If you have a pleytech at home you can push it outside.

You place it on the end of the street, near a corner where you play.Roll the cable that is hidden under the yellow part over the street. Place the yellow part next to you, so when a car drives over the cable alarm sounds and lights will go off inside the yellow part. Now you have plenty of time to clear the street.

I came up with the idea of a feeding unit for birds. You can see, the gravity does its work by pulling it down where the food is located. You can relate the looks of the unit to the actual shape of a bird.

The solution is to reduce the material but with the same function. The position of the sink is placed and formed to capture the pressure point together with the service pipes.

cast from molds based on stretched fabrics. The even surface of the side table stays untouched through the mass production, meanwhile the textured area provokes the stability of the table. Their individual, irregular form is created during the casting process. Due to the production process chosen by the designer differences in sizes, shape and weight are inevitable. This is a high quality user product developed for the contemporary production in Belgium.
