With this project I mean the analysis of my psyche through the exploration of my own imaginary worlds. At the same time I search the simbology that mixes the real with the surreal, experimenting a total freedom where there are plenty of posibilities to transcend what we see or live every day; by suspending mind and body in the interruption of the ordinary.

When picturing myself in these scenarios I’ve experimented dreams as desires in the process to be realities, or they represent aswell little passages of my life.

“Dreams and reality“

“We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life is

rounded with a sleep“

William Shakespeare.

D O C U M E N T A R Y PHOTOGRAPHY

This assignment was carried out for a documentary workshop that I took for one month at the “Escuela Activa de Fotografía“.

I wanted to tell a story that I have found in my own neighbour-hood. He is Mr.Cruz, a 95 year old man who lives in the Centre of Queretaro’s city. He spends his day, sitting alone in the step outside his home, looking at the people passing by, saying hello to everybody. I got to know Mr. Cruz a little bit better by talking to him, he tells the most amazing stories, but the special one is that he is waiting for someone. At 6 o’clock, he goes back inside of his house and closes the door to wait for the next day. Maybe tomorrow he will meet the person who is waiting for: his deceased wife.

This is a personal project that I have done during a trip to Cuba. It amzes me, the every day living of the cubans. Besides all the folklore and the color-ful dances, I tried to focus on the hard working characteristics.
