ARCHITECTURAL DETAILS Details assembled in accordance with various structural systems. Produced with AutoCAD and SketchUp software.
Arch 443 | Architectural Structures 2
FOLD + VOID In this abstract structural exploration, I focused on the reuse of materials. The initial task was to craft a plaster model of a shipping container. I chose to repurpose the mould components into an entirely new structural form.
Arch 232 | Design Technology
LIGHTBOX Lightbox required me to design an artifact that may be perceived in two district ways. First, as a scaled model of a shipping container. Second, as a unique light fixture. The artifact was to be referred to as M9, the ninth model.

UNCONVENTIONAL DWELLING The dwelling project is a compact home in the harsh climate of Cripple Creek, CO and an integrated part of a sustainable, off-grid community.

EXTRAPOLATION IN THE MATERIAL FIELD Beginning with material produced by another student, I produced a new variation of the project.
Observation | Automobiles generate light
Extrapolation | Automobiles are mobile light sources
Integration | This phenomenon can be exploited to create unique interior spaces
CONSTRUCTED FRAME Challenged to design a visual arts campus for the University of Mary in Bismarck, I produced these concrete forms to showcase their surroundings, framing the artwork of the landscape.
Arch 372 | Architectural Design 4
Extended concrete window frames maximize solar gain in the winter and provide solar shading in the summer.

VERTICAL COMMUNITY The Vertical Community is an exploration of sustainable high rise design for a site in San Francisco. The final product is broken up into seven small communities.

The Vertical Community is designed to be disassembled. At the end of its lifespan, it can be deconstructed. The materials can be recycled into future building designs
