The Expansion Continues Welcoming More Cruise Ships! PortMiami, the Cruise Capital of the World, continues to expand as the world’s leading cruise port. Last year, PortMiami welcomed nearly 4.8 million multi-day passengers, surpassing once again the four million mark!

The Port is experiencing another exceptionally strong cruise season. New for the upcoming cruise season is the arrival of Norwegian Cruise Line’s new build ship, the Norwegian Escape. This 4,300 passenger vessel will sail year-round from Miami beginning November 2015. In addition, for the 2015 cruise season, many of PortMiami’s current cruise partners are expanding their Miami fleets. The Port is looking forward to the arrival of Carnival Cruise Lines’ Carnival Splendor joining four cruise ships that sail year-round from the Port; Aida Cruise Line is also adding two cruise ships to its PortMiami line-up, Aida Mar and Aida Vita. In addition, Costa Cruises will introduce a second seasonal vessel to Miami, the Costa Mediterranea, and Oceania Cruises will have four of its cruise vessels sailing from PortMiami.

Miami Cruise Month returns in January 2015 with even more great promotions! This exciting program offered by the Greater Miami Convention Visitors Bureau features enticing offers to book cruises departing from PortMiami – in addition to special pre-cruise Miami hotel stays, attraction visits, pre- and post-cruise heritage tours and more.

PortMiami’s cruise facilities are the most modern in the world, providing easy passenger boarding and departure. By continuously investing in cruise facility improvements, PortMiami maintains its position as market leader and is prepared for the newest generation of cruise vessels. Currently on the drawing board are plans to expand the cruise footprint, including options for new cruise berths and terminals as well as associated intermodal and parking facilities.

With 15 cruise brands berthing 34 ships, PortMiami is clearly the departure destination of choice for cruises to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico and beyond, offering cruise vacations for every taste and budget – from family fun to luxury cruising. Set sail from Miami to… Anywhere! PortMiami’s ships have amenities from rock climbing walls to five star meals onboard. Start or end your vacation in Miami and add a few days to spend on a Miami land excursion.

PortMiami is home to the world’s leading cruise lines: Aida Cruises, Azamara Club Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, Hapag Lloyd Cruises, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, P & O Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Resorts World Bimini, and Royal Caribbean International.

PortMiami Tunnelis OpenThe PortMiami Tunnel opened to the public in the summer of 2014. The tunnel is comprised of two side-by-side tubes that carry traffic underneath Biscayne Bay. The Port’s tunnel directly links the U.S. Interstate Highway System with Port facilities, providing quicker, and easier, access for both cruise passengers and container traffic without a single traffic signal. In addition, the tunnel reduces congestion in downtown Miami by diverting traffic from downtown residential and commercial streets. The tunnel is equipped with some of today’s most modern safety features, including four portal flood gates and 23 dynamic message signs used to communicate key tunnel information to drivers. There are no tolls and it’s free for all.

Directions to PortMiamiPortMiami is easily accessible by car or taxi; however, most cruise lines offer shuttle service directly from Miami International Airport. Other ground transportation options such as shuttles and limousines are also available.

PortMiami is located at 1015 North America Way, Miami, Florida, 33132. Once on-port follow signs to your destination (Port Offices, Cruise Terminals, etc.).
