Situated on the border with Wales, the ancient Roman City of Chester is one of England’s most beautiful cities. Steeped in mystery and tradition, the tudor clad houses, the narrow streets and the Riv-er Dee all make Chester an excellent youth tour destination for your team. Located a quick drive from both Liver-pool and Manchester, Chester is a popu-

lar day-trip destination with the residents of the bigger cities. The city walls give the town an intimate and con-cealed atmosphere, which makes it a unique destination in England. Founded by the Romans and named De-va, the city of Chester is home to the world’s oldest racecourse that remains in regular use today. The Roodee Course, is also the only anti-clockwise racecourse in Britain, and the courses’ showpiece is the Chester Cup in May, a traditional warm-up for the season showpiece Epsom Derby. In ancient times, the Roman’s

raced Chariots around the course with hundreds of cheering aficionado’s screaming from the overlooking Chester City Walls. Even today, the ‘Roodee Roar’ is a quintessential characteristic of a day at the Chester Races. At night, the city bustles. There are

many pleasant bars and excellent restaurants on offer during the evening. The town enjoys a relaxed and party at-mosphere that continues long into the night for both the young and old. Your accommodation has been specifically chosen with your group in mind. The Hotel is located just outside the city centre which gives the group leaders the option to let the youth group enjoy the city cen-tre when appropriate. The hotel is situated in the beautiful Cestrian coun-tryside, and the leisure facilities at the venue will be an ideal chill-axing time filler on your tour.

For Rugby, Chester is superbly located. North Wales, Cheshire and Lancashire is the home to scores of rugby clubs offer-ing great youth, senior, vet’s and wom-en’s rugby. The city itself hosts a strong Rugby Club as well as a thriving Univer-sity Rugby Club.

DID YOU KNOW? Chester was founded as a "castrum" or Roman fort with the name Deva

Victrix in the year 79 by the Roman Legio II Adiutrix during the

reign of theEmperor Vespasian.

Chester Racecourse is Britain’s oldest sporting venue with the first race oc-

curring in 1539?

Under a Tudor law it is supposedly illegal for Welshmen to enter Chester

after nightfall – and legal to shoot them with a bow and arrow within the

city walls there after midnight?

Chester’s Rows are unique not only in Britain but anywhere in the world?

The covered walkways on four of the main streets of the city allow create double-decker shopping there, and have done so according to records

since at least the 13th century.

The information and service before leaving on tour was very good, Richie our tour

rep was very helpful. We also had serious drama with the ferries. This was not the

tour companies fault and they handled the situation excellently! A hilarious expe-

rience.

SKY HIGH SPORTS: SKY HIGH SPORTS: SKY HIGH SPORTS: ESSENTIAL INFORMATIONESSENTIAL INFORMATIONESSENTIAL INFORMATION Let Sky High Sports take the strain and hassle out of organising your sports tour – we will help you construct a tour that is specific to your requirements and tailored to your group. Once you are happy with your tour we will require a deposit of £50 per person within 28 days. To help spread the cost the final balance can then be split over two equal payments. The first will be due 42 days following the deposit, with the final payment due no later than 42 days prior to the tour. Once we have your deposit you will receive paperwork to complete. This includes:

A detailed booking form specifying all inclusions in the tour package. After reading through our Terms & Conditions, completing and returning the booking form will form a contract between you and Sky High Sports.

A spread-sheet that requests the necessary passenger information such as name, date of birth, pass-port information and existing medical conditions.

A questionnaire that will enable us to arrange the ideal level, number and type of Sporting Fixtures for your team while on tour.

Between the time of booking and departure day, your dedicated tour manager at Sky High Sports will maintain a regular contact to ensure we have the correct information from you, and that you are aware of the development of the tour. Where appropriate, face-to-face meetings will be preferable to achieve this. Then, six weeks ahead of the tour, a full and confirmed itinerary including the key contacts, an hour-by-hour schedule and a detailed guide will be sent to you. At this stage however, subtle changes may be made to the itinerary.

HOW WE WORK Whilst many of our customer’s plan their trips up to 2 years before they travel, generally scheduled airlines will on-ly release their flight seats and prices 11 months in advance. To give you an indicative price we base our quotes on current fares live at the time of your enquiry.

TAXES & SURCHARGES Taxes on flights can comprise airport tax, departure tax and government taxes as well as fuel surcharges. Our quote will always include taxes but these can fluctuate dependent on a number of factors including rates of ex-change and the cost of oil. The final cost of taxes and surcharges will only be guaranteed once full payment has been received and tickets issued.

SECURING YOUR AIRLINE SEATS As soon as seats are on sale we will hold a provisional booking for your group advising you about a deadline date for the names of all passengers. At this stage we will require a deposit of £50.00 per person so we can guarantee the fare you pay. At this stage, the only price change may be the taxes and surcharges and you should budget for this.

PASSENGER NAMES All passenger names are always required by a specific date. We will let you know that date well in advance, so that tickets can be issued. Unfortunately, unless we have the names of all passengers travelling the airline will not issue tickets. Please remember that all names should match Passport details. No exceptions apply and boarding will be denied at check-in if tickets and passports do not match.

BAGGAGE

Passenger baggage is always included in our quotation. If required, we can also include 40KG of extra luggage (in two separate bags of 20kg each) for necessary team kit and equipment. For groups of more than 80 people, 80kg (in four separate bags of 20kg each) can be provided. Please note that our air inclusive tours are bonded under Travel Bureau’s ATOL License Number 5322 see www.caa.co.uk for more information. This means in the unlikely event that the company ceases trading your money is completely safe and should you be abroad you will be repatriated to the UK at no additional cost
