Your arrival atPollok HouseA short drive through the estate’s picturesque country park leads to Pollok House, beautifully framed by its walled courtyard and gardens.

As you enter the grand Entrance Hall, lavishly decorated in marble, mahogany and bevelled glass, the sweeping double staircase guides you majestically to the principal rooms.

Surrounded by family portraits, classic busts and armorial shields, the Entrance Hall is bright, welcoming and ideal for greeting guests as they arrive at Pollok House.

Pavilion LibraryWithin Pollok House, wedding ceremonies are held in the Pavilion Library, probably the finest twentieth-century library in Scotland, containing over 7,000 books and manuscripts.

The Steinway concert grand piano holds pride of place in the room and has been played by many a famous pianist over the years to entertain guests and welcome brides down the aisle.

Occupying the whole of the eastern pavilion, this versatile room is framed by Ionic columns and adorned by some of Pollok’s most treasured paintings, including the famous El Greco masterpiece Lady in a Fur Wrap (c1577–9).

From the Library, French doors open on to the wonderfully manicured Parterre Garden, ideal for photographs, celebratory drinks and canapés or simply a relaxing stroll before being seated to dinner.

Dining RoomLocated in the western pavilion and within easy access of the Pavilion Library, the Dining Room is elegantly decorated and features masterpieces by Gerrit Malleyn depicting Dutch hunting scenes.

Edwardian Kitchen RestaurantBright and spacious, the Edwardian Kitchen Restaurant retains many of its original features, including gleaming tiled walls, an impressive range and large wooden sideboards.

Servants’ HallLocated next to the Edwardian Kitchen Restaurant, the wonderfully versatile Servants’ Hall can seat up to 60 guests. Maximum Capacity: 60

How to find us

Pollok House is 3 miles south of Glasgow city centre.

By carPollok House is off the M77 on Pollokshaws Road.

Directions from the north:Leave the M77 at J1 and turn left onto Dumbreck Road. At the next set of traffic lights turn right onto Haggs Road. Follow the road around to the right onto Pollokshaws Road. Turn right into Pollok Country Park (signposted).

Directions from the south:Leave the M77 at J2 and turn right onto Barrhead Road. At the next roundabout turn left onto Pollokshaws Road. Turn left into Pollok Country Park (signposted).

By busFirst Bus services 45 and 57 both stop on Pollokshaws Road, opposite the main entrance to the Country Park.

By trainPollokshaws West station, 200 metres from the Country Park entrance.
