• Established the Triumph of populist Democratic styles of government.
• Because of a Major democratic swing in power, the people at that time claimed that there had been a rise in aristocracyo Ex. Jefferson was a Dem. And he was an aristocrato Andrew Jackson was a slave owner, and racist
• The political parties began using Propaganda.• These campaigns lead to a higher general
appeal to the public, which then gave the people more involvement in politics.

• From the elections of 1801-1840 all presidents were Democrats. o These presidents were criticized for their aristocratic ways.o Although they were aristocrats, these men appealed to the
common people, so in other words this was “Politics for the People”.

president, politicians were forced to favor with the voting masses.
• Instead of the old divine right of kings, America was now bowing to the divine right of the people.
