What is a political cartoon?
A cartoon that makes a point about a political
situation
Can be funny, but often are not meant to be
Think about current events
Sway the viewer to the cartoonist’s point of view

subject
There are “no sacred cows”
Only focus on a subject if there is a point to
be made
No matter the political climate, there will
always be something of which to be critical
