Vehicle Crossing Across Public Roads
1. That where it has been assessed that the condition of an unconstructed crossing is such as to be a danger to pedestrian traffic, or the uncontrolled use of a crossing point is damaging the footway, Council require the construction or maintenance/repair of vehicle crossings, pursuant to the provisions of Section 218 of the Roads Act 1993.
2. That a further Report be submitted on the practicability of extending Council’s policy to require the construction of a vehicular crossing as a condition of approval for Building Applications for new dwellings, garages, carports, hardstand areas, or where Council is providing kerb and guttering in streets as part of its Roads Construction Program.
