Kamal Thakur @ Honey S/o Sh Balwinder Singh, Vill Mullanpur Garibdas near Gurudwara, Distt Mohali (Pb) and Permanant Address Vill Hari Talyanger, PS Bharari Distt Bilaspur(HP), aged 23 years. 2. Harpreet Singh S/o Sh Karam Singh, R/o # 107, Vill Mullanpur Garibdas, Near Gurudwara, Distt Mohali (Pb), aged 21 years On 20.04.2015 a case FIR No 175 dated 20.04.2015 u/s 356,379 IPC PS -11, Chd, was registered on the complaint of Mrs. Manjit Kaur W/o sh. Gurwinder Singh R/o H. No. 43, Milk Colony, Dhanas Chandigarh, who reported that on 20.04.15 she was returning to her home from market Dhanas. At about 1:00 P.M she reached near H. No. 44 Milk Colony Dhanas, Chandigarh and in the meantime two unknown youth came on one black Pulsar M/Cycle and pillion rider snatched her gold neck chain and fled away. In this case, on dated 24.04.2015 the above said accused persons have been arrested near jungle area Sarangpur on the secret information. On 25.04.2015 both accused produced in the Hon’ble Court and four days police remand obtained. During investigation snatched chain has been recovered. During the interrogation in above said case both of accused Kamal Thakur and Harpreet Singh disclosed that they have committed snatchings in different places in Chandigarh i.e Khuda Jassu, Khuda Lahora, Dhanas, Dadu Majra, Sec 14, Sec 15, Sec 22, Sec 23 etc. and about 11 gold Chains have been snatched. 2. 01.01.2015 Chandigarh Police worked out the cases of dacoity & theft committed in

the area of Village Dhanas, Chd by arresting 7 persons from jungle area,

Village Dhanas, Chd. A case FIR No 3 dated 1.1.15 u/s 395 IPC was

registered in PS-11, Chandigarh has been worked out.

3. 17.03.2015 Total 5 cases of snatching registered in different police stations, out of which

3 cases of PS-11, 1 case of PS-26, 1 case of PS-17, Chandigarh solved along

with recovery of case property from the possession of accused. Accused

were in case FIR No. 114 Dated 16.3.2015 u/s 356,379,34,411 IPC of PS-11,

Chd.

4. 25.04.2015 Chandigarh Police achieved success to work out the cases of snatching by

the team headed by Sub Inspector Ranjeet Singh, Incharge Police Post

Dhanas Chandigarh under the supervision of Sh. Sukhraj Kateva, SDPO

Central Division and Insp. Ranjit Singh Dhillon SHO PS -11 by arresting the

accused persons 1. Kamal Thakur @ Honey S/o Sh Balwinder Singh, Vill

Mullanpur Garibdas near Gurudwara, Distt Mohali (Pb) and Permanant

Address Vill Hari Talyanger, PS Bharari Distt Bilaspur(HP), aged 23 years. 2.

Harpreet Singh S/o Sh Karam Singh, R/o # 107, Vill Mullanpur Garibdas, Near

Gurudwara, Distt Mohali (Pb), aged 21 years On 20.04.2015 a case FIR No

175 dated 20.04.2015 u/s 356,379 IPC PS -11, Chd, was registered on the

complaint of Mrs. Manjit Kaur W/o sh. Gurwinder Singh R/o H. No. 43, Milk

Colony, Dhanas Chandigarh, who reported that on 20.04.15 she was

returning to her home from market Dhanas. At about 1:00 P.M she reached

near H. No. 44 Milk Colony Dhanas, Chandigarh and in the meantime two

unknown youth came on one black Pulsar M/Cycle and pillion rider

snatched her gold neck chain and fled away. In this case, on dated

24.04.2015 the above said accused persons have been arrested near jungle

area Sarangpur on the secret information. On 25.04.2015 both accused

produced in the Hon’ble Court and four days police remand obtained.

During investigation snatched chain has been recovered. During the

interrogation in above said case both of accused Kamal Thakur and

Harpreet Singh disclosed that they have committed snatchings in different

places in Chandigarh i.e Khuda Jassu, Khuda Lahora, Dhanas, Dadu Majra,

Sec 14, Sec 15, Sec 22, Sec 23 etc. and about 11 gold Chains have been

snatched. In this regard various cases have also been registered in Police

station 11, Police Station 17 and Police Station 39 Chandigarh.

5. 29.07.2015 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success with the arrest of accused

Kosar Ali S/o Mohd. Imran R/o Village Pali, Saharanpur, UP age about 23

years in a murder case of PS-11, Chandigarh. a Case FIR No. 303 dated

25.07.2015 U/S 302,34,201 IPC was registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the

statement of victims brother namely Bablu R/o # 735, Block-C, Adarsh

Nagar, Nera Baba Balak Nath Mandir, Naya Gaon, Distt-Mohali (PB).

6. 27.07.2015 Chandigarh Police arrested Sahil R/o # 2603, DBC, Sector-25, Chandigarh

near Church, Sector-24-A, Chandigarh and recovered 4 Gram of Smack

from his possession. A Case FIR No. 355 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered

in PS-11, Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on.

7. 26.11.2015 A case FIR No. 481 dt:-24.11.15 u/s-473,411IPC PS-11,Chandigarh was

registered. On a tip of local police of Police station Sector-11 achieved a

major success while checking and verifying, under the supervision of Insp.

Narinder Singh Patial, SHO/PS-11, Insp. Harminderjit Singh I/C PP-24

Chandigarh apprehended one person namely Parveen @ Gottu (21) S/o

Sh. Phool Singh R/o # 1540 DBC Sec-25 Chandigarh from back Side Dainik

Bhaskar Officer Sec-25, Chandigarh. In addition to this, during the further

interrogation of accused Parveen in another case FIR No. 469 dt. 18.11.15

u/s 379 IPC PS-11, Chandigarh he disclosed u/s 27 Evidence Act that he had

also stolen Maruti 800 Car No. HR-03-D-0007 in the Sec-15, Chandigarh and

same has been kept at UP at the residence to his relative and another three

juveniles have also been arrested in this case and sent to juvenile Home,

where as effort are continue to nab the kingpin of accused Sagar, who is

still absconded (not arrested). During the police remand of accused the

following vehicles & Mobile Phones (08 Cars, 01 Three Wheeler, 18

M/Cycles, 06 Scooters & 18 Mobile Phones) were recovered on their

instance and with the arrest of above said Accused.

8. 06.12.2015 Chandigarh Police worked out the blind murder case of Ashish S/o Sh Baljit

Ram R/o # 1150 DBC Sec-25 Chandigarh Age-20 Years. A case FIR No 487,

Dt:-03.12 15 U/S-302,201,34 IPC was registered in PS-11 Chandigarh. In this

case 2 accused have been arrested i.e. Ombir S/o Sh. Peeru Ram R/o #

1097, Dainik Bhaskar Colony, Sec-25 Chandigarh Age-27 Years and Vinod @

Bedi S/o Sh. Rajinder R/o # 2385, DBC, Sec-25-D, Chandigarh Age-24 Years.

9. 24.12.2015 Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh from Mori Gate,

Sector-25, Chandigarh and recovered 150 Gram of Ganja from her

possession. A Case FIR No.506 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11,

Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on.

10. 25.12.2015 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success with the arrest of accused

Smt. Dhani Devi (50) W/o Sh. Bhagwan Dass R/o Village-Gharia Fatak, PS &

Distt-Aligarh, UP in attempt to cheating case by duping a people to sell

pure brass claiming as a pure gold.

On 25.12.15, a case FIR No. 507 u/s 420, 511,120B IPC PS-11, Chandigarh has

been registered on the statement of Mr. Rajesh Mahajan S/o Sh. Muni Lal

R/o # 357, Sector-15 A, Chandigarh. He stated that he is running own shoe

shop in Market Sec-15, Chandigarh and few days ago, two unknown

persons came to his shop and disclosed that they are working the work of

digging in Aligarh, UP and during the digging work they found 2 Kilogram

gold and want to sell it in the small pieces because if they sold in bulk then

the Govt. may take it back from them by claiming as a Govt. Property.

Later on, they show him piece of gold which was a pure. After that on

24.12.15 both the unknown male persons again visits his shop and offered

him to purchase gold in Rs. 1,50,000/- only. On 25.12.15 they informed that

they along-with one lady are standing near the PGI main gate along with

1KG 800 gram gold and waiting him to deliver at agreed rate. On this,

complainant got suspicion of their activities and he informed to the Police

party, which were performing the near the main gate of PGI and with the

help of police, one accused lady namely Smt. Dhani Devi has been

arrested along with fake gold (pure brass), whereas her accomplices flee

away from the spot. During the course of investigation on 25.12.15 alleged

lady Smt. Dhani Devi has been arrested with 1KG 800 gram gold and efforts

are being continue to nab the remaining accused.

11. 21.12.2015 Sh. Narinder Singh R/o # 3, Khushal Enclave, Village-Bhabat, Zirakpur, Distt-

Mohali, PB reported that someone has stolen his Motor Cycle No. CH- 04E-

7946 from PGI Staff Parking in front of APC, Sector-12, Chandigarh.

During the course of investigation, on 21.12.15, a juvenile (17 years) has

been apprehended and recovered stolen M/cycle from his possession. The

juvenile had replaced the rear side number plate of said vehicle and

affixed the fake number plate CH01-AE-8444 on it. Later on, he was

produced before the juvenile justice board and sent to juvenile home. A

Case FIR No. 503 U/S 379 added 411, 473 IPC has been registered in PS-11,

Chandigarh. The case has been worked out.

12. 3.1.2016 Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh from near UIET

Gate, Sector-25, Chandigarh and recovered 110 Gram of Ganja from her

possession. A Case FIR No.01 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11,

Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on.

13. 04.1.2016 Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh from near UIET

Gate, Sector-25, Chandigarh and recovered 110 Gram of Ganja from her

possession. A Case FIR No.01 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11,

Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on.

14. 29.01.2016 A Case FIR No. 13 U/S 398,400,34 IPC has been registered in PS-11,

Chandigarh against Lakhwinder R/o # 134/2, Village-Palsora, Chandigarh,

Rahul R/o Poultry Farm Maloya, Chandigarh, Jatinder R/o B-8, Adarsh

Colony, Sector-54, Mohali, three Juvenile and one other who tried to break

the ATM of Punjab & Sind Bank, SCO No.2, Sector-24, Chandigarh on

28.1.2016. Three accused have been arrested and three Juvenile have

been apprehended in this case. The Juvenile sent to Juvenile Home.

Investigation of the case is in progress.

15. 08.02.2016 Sh. Raj Kumar R/o # 2324, Sector-38-C, Chandigarh alleged that Prem

Kumar and Omparkash (workers) have stolen medicine from his Chemist

Shop at PGI, Chandigarh on 07.02.2016. In this regard, a Case FIR No. 21, U/S

381 IPC was registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later accused namely

Harwinder Kumar @ Prem R/o # 97/1, Village Khuda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh

and Anku @ Omparkash R/o # 214, Village Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh

have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

16. 27.02.2016 Accused Arrested in FIR No. 29 u/s 379, 411 IPC, PS-11, UT, Chandigarh

A person resident of Distt-Saharanpur (UP) alleged that Aman R/o

Jhuggi, Indira Colony, MM, Chandigarh caught red handed while stealing

complainant’s purse near New OPD, PGI, Chandigarh on 26.2.2016. A Case

FIR No. 29 U/S 379,411 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh.

Accused has been arrested in this case.

17. 6.3.2016 Accused Arrested in FIR No. 37 U/s 20 NDPS Act, PS-11, Chandigarh

Chandigarh Police arrested Karan R/o # 2690, Sector-25, Chandigarh from

Sector 24, Chandigarh and recovered 200 gm. Ganja from his possession. A

Case FIR No. 37, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh.

Further investigation is going on.

18. 3.3.2016 Accused Arrested in FIR No. 35 dt. 01.03.16 u/s 365, 394, 34 added 411 IPC,

PS-11, Chandigarh

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success with the arrest of

accused Sagar (21 yrs) S/o. Late Sh. Amar Singh R/o # 2869, Sector-25

Chandigarh and Anil (18 yrs) S/o Sh. Raj Karan R/o # 2845 Sector-25 Chd

who were active in the city for the long time in the robbery and MV Theft

cases.

Firstly during investigation, in case FIR No. 35 dt. 01.03.16 u/s 365, 394,

34 added 411 IPC PS-11, Chandigarh four persons namely Sagar (21 yrs) S/o.

Late Sh. Amar Singh R/o # 2869, Sector-25 Chandigarh, Anil (18 yrs) S/o Sh.

Raj Karan R/o # 2845 Sector-25 Chd and two minor boys age about 16 & 17

years were arrested/apprehended on 01.03.16 and recovered 02 mobile

phone and purse containing important documents from their possession.

On the same day both juveniles were produced before the Hon’ble juvenile

Justice court and sent to juvenile Home Sec-25, Chandigarh.

During the interrogation of said case they confessed that they

have committed number of MV Thefts in the city and also stolen Activa

Scooter No. CH04-J-6414 in front of the road of Sampark Center Sector 15,

Chandigarh, which was wanted in case FIR No. 25 dt. 15.2.16 u/s 379 IPC PS-

11, Chandigarh. On their confession, on 02.02.16 one day police remand of

both the accused was obtained in case FIR No. 25/16 PS-11,Chandigarh

Activa Scooter CH04-J-6414 has been recovered from near lake jungle area

Dhanas, Chandigarh on their identification.

19. 2.3.2016 Accused Arrested in FIR No. 35, u/s 365,394,34 IPC, PS-11, UT, Chandigarh

A boy resident of HP alleged that 3/4 unknown persons

kidnapped/abducted him and robbed two mobile phones, purse

containing documents and goggles near UIET, Sector-25, Chandigarh on

29.2.2016. Later on accused Sagar & Anil both R/o Sector-25, Chandigarh

have been arrested and two juvenile have been apprehended in this case.

Both Juvenile sent to Juvenile Home. A Case FIR No. 35 U/S 365,394,34 IPC

has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in

progress.

20. 09.04.2016 Accused arrested in Case FIR No. 61, U/S 147,148,149,427,307 IPC & 25-27-54-

59 Arms Act, PS-11, Chandigarh

Sh. Manpreet Singh R/o Room No. 53, Block No. 2, Punjab Univesity Hostel

No. 2, Chandigarh alleged that Resham Godara, Rinda, Randeep Kharab,

Shisham Nunia, Satwinder & others attacked on complainant at Punjab

University and also fired gun shot on him on 08-04-2016. Complainant and

another boy Jassan Singh got injured and admitted in GMSH-16,

Chandigarh. A Case FIR No. 61, U/S 147,148,149,427,307 IPC & 25-27-54-59

Arms Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later on accused

namely Resham Singh R/o Village Tangrali, Tehsil Talwandi Sabon, Distt.

Bathinda (PB) and Inder Singh @ Nawal R/o Room No. 12, Boys Hostel No. 4,

PU, Sector-14, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case.

21. 20.4.2016 W/IGP rewarded for apprehending accused

Today, Sh. Tajender Singh Luthra, IPS, Inspector General of Police, UT,

Chandigarh rewarded Parveen S/o Rajpal R/o # 384, Adarsh Nagar, B-

Block, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali, Punjab age about 26 years (pursuing MBA

from Punjab University Chd) with Commendation Certificate of Class-I along

with cash prize Rs. 1000/- for showing exemplary courage by apprehending

accused on the spot who was committing robbery near Balmiki Mandir,

Sector-24, Chandigarh, Chandigarh on 18.04.2016.

On 18.04.2016 at 9:30 PM, Auto driver namely Gautam R/o #

6765/20, Sector-56, Chandigarh was dropping one passenger who hired

complainant’s Auto from Light Point, Sector-14/15, Chandigarh on 18.4.2016

and when they reached near Balmiki Mandir, Sector-24, Chandigarh, the

passenger in auto poured/throw chilli powder in complainant’s eyes and

tried to rob mobile phone and cash from complainant on knife point. On

hearing the alarm raised by victim, Parveen S/o Rajpal R/o # 384, Adarsh

Nagar, B-Block, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali, Punjab who was passing nearby

rushed to the spot, apprehended the accused and called the police. In this

regard a Case FIR No. 69 U/S 398 IPC has been registered in PS-11,

Chandigarh. Accused has been identified as namely Karan R/o # 3474,

Sector-15, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh Police recognize his effort and as a token of

appreciation presented him a reward of Rs. 1000/- and commendation

Certificate Class-1 for his future encouragement.

22. 20.4.2016 Accused arrested in Case FIR No. 69 U/S 398 IPC, PS-11, Chandigarh

Sh. Gautam (driver of Auto No. CH-03N-7206) R/o # 6765/20, Sector-

56, Chandigarh alleged that Karan R/o # 3474, Sector-15, Chandigarh hired

complainant’s Auto from Light Point, Sector-14/15, Chandigarh on 18.4.2016

and when they reached near Balmiki Mandir, Sector-24, Chandigarh, Karan

Sh. Gautam (driver of Auto No. CH-03N-7206) R/o # 6765/20, Sector-

56, Chandigarh alleged that Karan R/o # 3474, Sector-15, Chandigarh hired

complainant’s Auto from Light Point, Sector-14/15, Chandigarh on 18.4.2016

26. 27.04.2016 Apprehension of accused in FIR No. 73 U/S 147,148,149,307 IPC, PS-11,

Chandigarh.

Sh. Yogesh Rana R/o # 370, Village-Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh alleged that

Darshan, Jhujar, Nek Singh, Jugnu, Gurjeet, Harpreet @ Happy and others,

all attacked on complainant with sword and tried to kill him near his

The brief facts of the case is that this case has been

brother of his father namely Jatinder Pal Singh Bedi is residing in Canda and

he took the power attorney of his share to Amenvir Singh (brother-in-law)

R/o Khanna PB and a Court Case is also going on between his father and

Uncle Jatinder Pal Singh Bed. Further he alleged that Smt. Gurdeep Kaur

W/o Jatinder Pal Singh Bedi had made a call to his Uncle namely Charanjit

Singh (Taya Ji) and she directed him to vacate the two rooms of ground

floor from his father and also threatened to kill, if he deny. On 22.07.16 some

unknown boys came to their residence and attacked on his father with dire

consequence. Due to this his father received serious injuries on head and

admitted in PGI. Now he doubt on Smt. Gurdeep Kaur that she send the

boys to harm his father. Thus, a Case FIR No. 121 dt. 23.07.2016 u/s 323,452,

506, 34 IPC added 307, 397 IPC has been registered at police station sector-

11, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Sh. Ram Gopal, DSP/Central, a

team headed by Insp. SHO, PS-11, Chandigarh achieve a major success

with the arrest of accused Ram Kumar S/O Sh Prem Shankar R/O H No 155,

Village Kansal, Distt Mohali Punjab Age 26 Years who was active in the city

for the long time in MV Theft cases.

Firstly during investigation, in case FIR No. 178 dt. 28.09.16 u/s 379 Added 411

IPC PS-11, Chandigarh one person namely Ram Kumar S/O Sh Prem Shankar

R/O H No 155, Village Kansal, Distt Mohali Punjab Age 26 Years was

arrested.

During the interrogation of said case he confessed that he have committed

number of MV Thefts in the city and also stolen Activa Scooter No.

CH01BD4094 slip road towards Sector 25, Chandigarh, which was wanted in

case FIR No. 178 dt. 28.09.16 u/s 379 Added 411 IPC PS-11, Chandigarh.

During further investigation he also confessed that he also stole a scooter no

CHO1AZ1143 Activa from near SCO N0 11, Sector 11, Market which was

wanted in FIR No 342, Dt 12.08.15 U/S 379 IPC, PS 11, Chandigarh. On his

confession, on 2/3.12.16 and the said stolen activa’s have been recovered

from his instance.

The value of the recovered items is approximately Rs. 3,50,000/-

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success with the arrest of

auto lifter namely Vikash S/o Raj Kumar R/o # 3980, Sec-25, Chd.

Age-19 Yrs, Edu. 8th, after getting secret information regarding the

above said accused a team of Police Station-11 and PP-24 laid a trap on

the road dividing road Sector-11/12 under the supervision of Insp.

Lakhvir Singh, SHO/PS-11, apprehend the accused Vikash while driving

a Maruti Zen Car No. CH01AZ3595. On questioning he admitted that he

Sh. Sukhwinder Singh R/o H.No-47, Village- Khuda Alisher, Chandigarh

alleged that Suraj and Pardeep R/o near Gurudwara Nada Road, Mohali,

snatched Purse and his Mobile from him near wine shop Khuda Alisher,

Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 206, U/S 356, 379, 411 IPC has been

registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. 55. 21.08.2017 Kidnapping & Eve Teasing

On 21.08.2017, at about 4.45 AM, a message was received from

a female in Police Control Room that 02 boys took lift in her car from

Food Street Sector-14, opposite PGI Gate and asked to drop them at

ISBT -17, Chandigarh. She further disclosed that on reaching ISBT-17,

they are not getting down from her car and sitting forcibly in her

vehicle. After receiving this message, when the Police Party reached at

the spot, the said boys ran away from the place of incident towards

Sector-22, Chandigarh. The officials present at the place of incident HC

Mohinder Singh No.574/CP, Vol. Harikesh No.1164/CHG, both posted at

ISBT-17, Const Shapinder No.1731/CP and Dvr Vol Gurjant Singh

No.537/CP posted with Sh. Yash Pal, DSP/Traffic who was on night

checking duty, immediately apprehended 01 boy namely Rajinder Singh

s/o Harminder Singh r/o # 96, Kiln Area, Nangal township, Distt Ropar,

Punjab aged 25 years. Co-accused has been identified as Taran s/o Raj

Pal r/o Madho Nagar, Distt Ropar, Punjab.

On the complaint of the said lady, Case FIR No.227 dated

21.08.2017 u/s 365/354/34 IPC, PS-11, Chandigarh has been registered

against both the accused. As mentioned above, accused Rajinder Singh

has been arrested whereas efforts are being made to arrest co-accused

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success to work out MV theft cases by the

Satbir R/o H. No. 81 Sector 25 Chandigarh Age-24 yrs and Panna Lal S/o

active in tri-city in Motor Vehicle theft.

On 13.10.2017 a Naka was laid down at road near rally ground Sector-25,

Chandigarh on secret information and apprehended Vijay S/o Satbir R/o H.

No. 81 Sector 25 Chandigarh Age-24 yrs and Panna Lal S/o Sham lal R/o

H. No. 283 Sector-25, Chandigarh Age-19 yrs with stolen Aviator no.

CH01AE8208 having fake no. CH03P-7022 which was stolen as per FIR No.

437/17 U/s 379 IPC of PS 39, Chandigarh. In this regard, case FIR No. 305

dated 13.10.17 U/s 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS 11 and stolen

Aviator with fake number plate has been recovered and accused Vijay & Panna

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success to work out recent robbery & M.V

On 15.02.2018 secret information was received that a person namely

Vinay @ Vijay S/o Prem Singh R/o Kachi Colony near bridge Nada, Naya Goan,

Mohali PB is carrying an illegal weapon (Desi Katta). On this information SI

Balbir Singh along with police party apprehended a accused Vinay and

recovered from his possession an illegal weapon (Desi Katta) from near Local

Bus Stop PGI, Sector-12, Chandigarh and case FIR No. 55 dated 15.02.2018

u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act PS-11, Chandigarh has been registered in this regard.

An another success also achieved by police station sector-11,

Chandigarh on 15.02.2018 while a Naka was laid down at near Dhanas Lake,

Chandigarh and on secret information apprehended one Sharwan Kumar Mahto

S/o late Sh. Shankar Mahto R/o Village Maharajpur Tola, PS-Talajari,

District- Sahibganj Jharkhand UP age about 25 years along with a stolen

motorcycle which was also bearing fake registration number PB 22 P 1144.

Later on it was discovered that the said vehicle has been stolen from sector-

65. 11.03.2018 Arrest of miscreants

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success to work out recent Glass

broken of car cases by the team led by SI Mewa Singh, SI Parkash Singh and

SI Rohitash Kumar under the supervision of SHO 11 and Sh. Ram Gopal, SDPO

Central Division with the arrest of accused.

Further it is submitted that the case into the matter was registered

in Police Station Sec- 11 Chd on the complaint of Pyar Chand S/o Sh Zulfi Ram

R/o H No 1020, Sec 12, PEC, Chd. Performing duty as Chowkidar in locality, in

which he stated that Bolero Car No PB 46 E 5000 was parked in front of H

NO 516, Sec 15, Chd. On the intervening night 9/10.03.18 at about 2.00 AM

five boys came in Etios car bearing No. HR 06 AA 0910 and came out, out of

them three boys came out from car and broke the glasses of Bolero and run

namely Ram Janam Singh S/o Sh. Ram Partap Singh R/o # 1668, Vill. Burail,

Chd, Nishant @ Jalebi S/o Sh. Dev Singh R/o # 1487 DBC, Sec- 25 Chd, and

two juvenile were apprehended along with a stolen motorcycle which was also

bearing fake registration number CH 01 AC 1681. Later on it was discovered

that the said vehicle has been stolen from sector-47, Chandigarh and FIR No.

280 dated 01.07.18 u/s 379 PS-31, Chandigarh already registered in this

regard. On this case FIR No. 195 dated 01.07.2018 u/s 473,411 IPC PS-11,

Chandigarh has been registered and two alleged persons were arrested and

two juvenile were apprehended from the spot. During the course of

investigation accused disclosed that they have also stolen more vehicle from

Chandigarh. The same have been recovered as per their disclosure statements.

Beside this team of PS-11 achieved another success by arresting Suraj

S/o Prahlad Shukla R/o Vill. Ashok Purdiya, PS- Katra Distt. Gaunda UP, age

about 20 years in case FIR No. 194 dt 01.07.18 U/s 380, 457, 411 IPC, PS-11

67. 11.08.2018 Special Checking & Security Measures by Chandigarh Police in view of

forthcoming Independence Day-2018

Keeping in view of Independence Day-2018, Chandigarh Police is

regularly conducting various checking exercises to avoid any untoward incident

in the city. The various operations are undertaken by Chandigarh Police for

the maintenance of law & order and also for the purpose of safety and

security of citizens especially Women & Children.

Surprise checking drive at Sector-25

In view of upcoming Independence Day, a special night search was

carried out in the earlier morning of 11.08.18. SHO, Police Station-11 along 40

Police Officials from PS-11, PS-03, PS-17, PS-Sarangpur, Chandigargh carried

out checking at Sector-25, Chandigarh. The area of Sector-25 was been

completely sealed. Total 05 Police parties were constituted, 60 houses were

checked and 21 persons were round up. The entire outgoing and incoming

vehicles checked thoroughly. No vehicle was impounded. During search

operation, no any suspected person or vehicle came to light and after proper

verification all the particulars were kept in record. Photographs of drive

68. 18.08.2018 Self Defense Demonstration for Girls

Today a Demonstration regarding self defense was organized by Police

Station- 11, Chandigarh in which 60 girls of sector- 25, Chandigarh

participated who were taking training of self defense under the aegis of

Chandigarh Police Since June 2018. The training period was of two months.

The girls were trained by “SWAYAM TEAM” of Chandigarh Police.

During demonstration girls shows different techniques to protect

them from snatching, eve teaching in crowded or lonely places. Ms. Nilambari

Jagdale, IPS, W/SSP U.T. Chd was the chief guest of the occasion, whereas

Sh. Krishan Kumar, S.D.P.O Central was the guest of honour. Insp. Lakhvir

Singh, SHO PS-11 and SI Rohitash Kumar Incharge Police Post Sec- 24, were

also present there.

After the demonstration, certificates along with momentos were given

to all the participants by the W/SSP/UT Chandigarh. To spread the road

safety message and to motivate female riders to wear helmets for their

safety, total 60 Helmets were also distributed among women two wheelers

riders with the collaboration of Pratigya foundation (N.G.O).

69. 06.09.2018 Chandigarh Police arrangements during election of student’s council in

Panjab University, Chandigarh

Keeping in view the election of student’s council in Panjab University,

Chandigarh and its affiliated colleges, elaborate arrangements were made to

ensure the peace during election and avoid any untoward incident.

Chandigarh Police made adequate arrangements of law & order and also

for the purpose of traffic regulation and traffic rules enforcement for

conducting peacefully election without any inconvenience. About 977 police

personnel from police stations/units, PCR, Intelligence, security & Traffic

were deployed for law & order duties including DSPs-8 and Inspectors-24

including all SHOs, ORs-717 was including lady police officials. All the DSPs

had supervised all the arrangements at University, Colleges and Institutions.

Water Cannon, Vajra Vehicle, Mounted Staff, Photographers were deputed to

meet contingencies/circumstances. Chandigarh Traffic Police was also present

in the field and remained vigilant throughout the day from the election point

of view and to regulate the traffic smoothly.

Besides this, police official from different units were deputed in

Panjab University Chandigarh round the clock till election and targets have

been allotted to them to achieve aim i.e. “Conduct Peaceful Election in Panjab

University”. Night search operations, checking of vehicles, hostels & outsiders,

surveillance through CCTV cameras were done to ensure that no any

objectionable articles as well as outsider may enter in the campus. Apart from

this, official of Crime Branch and CID were deputed in the campus of Panjab

University to ensure peace in Campus. The election remained peaceful.

70. 15.10.2018 Murder case solved

A case FIR No. 308 dated 13.10.18 U/s 302, added 34 IPC PS-11 Chd was

registered in PS-11.

An information was received on 13.10.2018, at around 9:50 AM, that one

injured person is lying in front of Hotel Parkview on sector 24/15 dividing

road. He had been admitted in GMSH-16 and was declared brought dead. On

verification deceased was identified as Sandeep S/o Tirloki Ram R/o #

1175/B, EWS, Colony, Chandigarh age about 22 years. On the thorough

inspection of the body, multiple wound marks were found present on his neck,

Chest and at back. In the postmortem report more than 40 stabbed injuries

on the chest & neck with pointed weapon were found that caused the death of

deceased.

In this case Chandigarh Police achieved major success with the arrest of

three murder’s accused by the team led by Insp./SHO Lakhvir Singh

comprising SI Surender Gautam under the close supervision of Sh. Krishan

Kumar, SDPO Central Division.

Today on 15.10.2018, a secret information was received that three person who

murdered Sandeep on the intervening night of 12/13.10.18 will come on their

Activa from Dhanas towards Kali Mata Mandir Jungle area. On this

information, a Naka was laid down at Dhanas Lake Turn Chandigarh and the

below mentioned three accused were apprehended along with their activa.

During interrogation they confessed the crime.

The arrested three accused are as under:

1. Suraj @ Addha S/o Sh. Ram Adhiya R/o # 199/A, EWS Colony, Dhanas Chd,

age 18 years, Education-12th, Profession- Private Job. Waiter, Marital

status- Unmarried Previous History: - He was earlier found involved in

one case, while he was juvenile.

2. Akhilesh @ Diva S/o Sh. Siya Ram R/o # 368, EWS Colony Dhanas

Chandigarh age 19 years, Education-10th, Profession- Waiter, Marital

status-unmarried.

3. Ram Ashish @ Kalu S/o Sh. Amrit Lal R/o # 422/B, EWS Colony Dhanas

Chandigarh age 18 years, Education-10th, Profession- Waiter/Labor,

During interrogation accused revealed that they had quarreled with the

deceased at ISBT Sector-17 & again at Sector 24/15 dividing road where the

three accused stabbed the deceased with the ice breaking tool (Suaan)

multiple times. All of the three accused were heavily dunked during the

incident. They are from same locality in Dhanas and having past enmity with

the deceased

71. 22.01.2019 Murder Case Solved and accused arrested

Chandigarh Police has achieved a major success with the arrest of murder’s

accused Ranjit S/o Bira R/o # H. No 3123, Sector 25 Chd (age 24 Yrs) and

Raman @ Chautala S/o Sh. Ramesh Kumar R/o H. No 2323, Sector 25 Chd (age

25 Yrs) and one juvenile (age 17 Yrs) apprehended in the case by the team led

by Insp./SHO Rajiv Kumar comprising SI Ashok Kumar I/C PP-24 Chd under

the close supervision of Sh. Krishan Kumar, SDPO Central Division.

Case FIR No. 13 Dt 22.01.2019 U/s 302 added 201, 34 IPC PS-11 Chd

was registered on the statement of Sh. Vasudev S/o Sh. Kanga Muttu R/o

Jhuggi No. 534, DBC Sec- 25 Chandigarh where is stated that on 22.01.19 at

around 6.45 AM when he was going to bathroom, he found that one unknown

person age about 25-30 yrs found lying unconscious condition. It seems that

he was attacked with sticks and sharp weapons by some unknown persons, so

he informed police. PCR Vehicle rushed the person to GH-16 Chd where duty

doctor declared injured person brought dead vide CR No. 20180545075.

During further investigation deceased name revealed as Sandeep S/o Raj

Kumar R/o Jhuggi No. 279, DBC Sec- 25 Chandigarh. On the thorough

inspection of the body, wound marks were found present on his neck, Chest

and at back. From the inspection of the dead body it seems that some unknown

Today, secret information received that three persons who murdered

Sandeep on the intervening night of 21/22.01.19 are roaming near jhuggian,

motor market Sector 38 Chandigarh. On this information, special team was

deployed and one juvenile (age 17 Yrs) apprehended and another two accused

namely Ranjit S/o Bira R/o # H. No 3123, Sector 25 Chd (age 24 Yrs) and

Raman @ Chautala S/o Sh. Ramesh Kumar R/o H. No 2323, Sector 25 Chd (age

25 Yrs) were arrested. During interrogation they confessed the crime which

they have committed.

72. 01.04.2019 Snatching Case Solved

With the arrest of accused Deepak Kumar (21 yrs) S/o Sh. Naresh Kumar R/o

# 2209, New Housing Board Colony, Panipat, Haryana & Presently residing in

R/o SCF No. 25, Saini Vihar, Phase-5, Baltana, Distt. Mohali, PB and

apprehension of one jevenile (17 yrs), Chandigarh Police achieved a success to

trace out the old snatching case.

Case FIR No. 276 Dt 22.09.18 U/S 356, 379 added 411, 34 IPC was

registered on the complaint of Surinder Kumar (21 yrs) S/o Sh. Ram Milap R/o

Bhagatipeeth Shivalik Vihar, KAS, Chandigarh. In which he alleged that on

22.09.18 at about 8.30 pm, when he was going to MKT alongwith his brother

and cousin & reached near Preet Motal, Nayagaon. In the meantime,

motorcycle borne two miscreants came from his behind and snatched his

mobile phone make MI Note-5 and fled away from the spot.

During the course of investigation, IMEI Number of snatched mobile

was put on surveillance on regular basis & CDR were obtained. During the

analysis of CDR, it has been revealed that snatched mobile has been used by

juvenile. Further on 31.03.19, secret information was received that juvenile

along with his friend roaming in Chandigarh on motorcycle and planning to

commit some crime. On this tipoff, a special team was constitued under the

supervision of Inps. Rajiv Kumar SHO/PS-11 comprising other official officers

of PS-11. A special team has nabbed/apprehended them from small chowk

sector 49/50.

During interrogation they confessed the crime which they have

committed & snatched mobile phone make Mi Note-5 has been recovered from

Juvenile and M/Cycle used in the crime recovered from the accused Deepak.

73. 22.04.2019 Life of drowning women saved by Constable

Constable Sombir Deshwal No 1949/CP serving in Chandigarh Police has done a

commendable Job by saving the life of a women who was suddenly fell down in

the Dhanas lake while she was washing her hands after walking.

On 21.04.19 an anti-snatching naka from 06-11 PM was deployed at Kaccha

Rasta, Dhanas and a team of officials from PS-11 Chd were deployed at this

naka point. At around 06.20 PM, General public informed officials deployed at

Naka, Kaccha Rasta Dhanas that one lady fall down into the lake and drowning.

On this Constable Sombir Singh No 1949/CP who was deployed at Naka take a

quick decision & immediately dive into the lake to save the lady who was

drowning deep in the water and take her out. After that Constable Sunil

1855/CP rushed her to GH- 16 Chd in a private vehicle. Now she is totally fine

and after taking treatment she was discharged from Hospital.

The above said brave act of constable Sombir Deshwal No 1949/CP shows the

professional acumen and dedication towards his duty. This kind of dedicated

and honest police officer make police department proud.

74. 13.07.2019 Burglary and theft cases solved

With the arrest of two accused and apprehended of another two

juvenile Chandigarh Police achieved a major success to work out recent

burglaries, MV Thefts and other thefts cases reported in the city.

On 12.07.19 a case FIR No. 137 No. 12.07.19 u/s 380,457 IPC was

registered on the complaint of Sh. Narinder Gupta S/o Late Sh. Desh Raj

Gupta R/o H. No. 172, Sec-15 A, Chandigarh in which he stated that he is

running a chemist shop in the name of Gupta Medicos situated at Sec-15,

Chandigarh. On 02.07.19 at around 10.30 PM he had locked the shop and went

to his residence. Next morning around 6.30 AM he found that the shutter of

his shop was broken and some unknown person had entered his shop after

breaking the locks of the shop and stolen away his purse containing documents

and Cash Rs. 15,000 to 20,0000/- and some coins of Rs. 1000 to 15000/- from

the shop.

A Special team constituted under the supervision of Sh. Ram Gopal,

SDPO Central lead by Insp. Rajiv Kumar SHO PS-11 Chd comprising SI

Prem Singh & other officials of PS-11 Chd was deployed to nab the culprits

and work out the case and the said team have arrested two accused namely

Ravi S/o Sh. Sukhbir Singh R/o H. No. 876, Ram Darbar, PH-II Chandigarh,

Age 19 Yrs and Sanjiv @ Goli S/o Sh. Balbir R/o #3396, DBC Sector 25

Chandigarh age 18 yrs in above noted case and stolen cash of amount Rs.

15000/-, purse containing documents & some coins were recovered from their

possession. During the further interrogation they confessed their involvement

in other burglaries by breaking the locks of Chemist and confectionery shops

in various parts of city i.e. Sector 22, 32, 47, 37, 38, 44, PGI and Khudda Ali

Sher, Chandigarh etc.

Apart from this, said team have also apprehended two another juvenile

who were involved in vehicle theft cases and two motor vehicles were

recovered from their possession. Both juvenile were produced before JJ

Board and sent to JJ Home Sector 25 Chd.

a major success to crack recent burgalry and MV Theft Case. Total Six

vehicles have been recovered from their possession. The cases have been

worked out by the team led by SI Shiv Charan, I/C PP-24 Chd under the

supervision of SHO PS-11.

A case FIR No. 235 Dt 29.11.19 U/s 380,454 IPC added 411 IPC PS-11 Chd was

registered on the complaint of Mr. Khairati Lal Ahuja S/o Late Sh. Bansi Lal

R/o H. No. 132, Sec-11 A, Chd in which he reported regarding theft of cash Rs

5000 and some coins and his black color wallet containing documents from his

house by breaking of locks.

Keeping in view the burglary incidents in the area of PS-11, a special team

under the supervision of Insp. Rajiv Kumar SHO/PS-11 comprising HC Naresh

Kumar 528/CP and other official put a naka on 12.12.19 near bridge Sec-

11/15. During checking, they nab one person Bharat S/o Sh. Ram Bilas R/o H.

No 1855, EWS Flats, Dhanas, Chd. who was driving Activa Scooter No. CH01-

AQ-0883. During interrogation he could not produced the documents of

Activa and confessed that he had stolen the above said vehicle from Dhanas

and case FIR No. 165 dt. 12.12.19 u/s 379 IPC PS-Sarangarpur, Chd was also

registered in this regard. During interrogation, he disclosed that he had also

made burglary in H. No. 132, Sec-11 A, Chd. One purse containing cash Rs.

5000/-, coins and other documents of complainant was recovered from him.

Accused arrested and produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial

custody.

Further a case FIR No. 240 Dt. 13.12.19, U/S 379 IPC, PS-

11,Chandigarh was registered on the complaint of Sh. Krishan Kumar S/o Sh.

Som Nath R/o # SCF No. 134, Sector-24/D, Chandigarh regarding theft of

his Hero Honda splendor M/Cycle No. CH04L-7432, which was parked in front

of his house.

During the course of investigation of above said case, a special team under the

supervision of Insp. Rajiv Kumar SHO/PS-11 comprising SI Shiv Charan, I/C

PP-24 put a special naka near Saini Bhawan, Sector- 24 Chd on 13.12.12. During

the checking of vehicles, they apprehended two boys namely Kamal Kumar S/o

Sudhir Kumar R/o # 3023, sector 24/D, Chandigarh and Abhishek S/o Amar

Singh R/o # 2489, Sector-24, Chd with splendor M/Cycle bearing fake No.

Plate CH04B-7482. During investigation both accused were arrested and

stolen M/Cycle recovered from possession. During the interrogation original

Number plate and vehicle documents were also recovered from their

possession. On 14.12.19, both accused produced before the Hon’ble Court and

76. 4.11.2020 Arrest in attempt to murder case

With the arrest of accused Amandeep @ Aman @ Hakla (20 yrs) S/o

Sh Rishi Pal R/o # 759, Madrasi Colony, Village-Jagatpura, Distt. Mohali,PB &

Permanent R/o Village-Khadrawli, Distt. Shamli, UP. Chandigarh Police have

claimed to crack the case of attempt to murder, which was registered in PS-

11, Chandigarh.

A case FIR No. 127 dt. 20.10.20 u/s 307,34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms

Act. PS-11, Chandigarh was registered on the statement of Sandeep Kumar

S/o Sh. Jai Parkash R/o # 2597, Sec-25, Chandigarh. He stated that on

19.10.20 at around 9.30 PM when he was present in his cloth shop at R/o #

2358, Sec-25, Chandigarh along-with his friend. In the meantime two persons

entered in his shop and open 3-4 gun shots on him. Out of which, one bullet hit

on his forehead and another struck on his shoulder. He further added that

3rd person was standing near his shop with weapon. out of these assailants one

was Vijay resident of Sec-25 and other two was his friend. He alleged that

said persons have fired gunshot with the intention to kill him. In addition to

this, he stated that he saw all three persons fled away from the spot on one

M/Cycle and he could not notice down the registration number of said vehicle.

77. 19.12.2020 Recovery of Arms

A case FIR No. 146 dt. 18.12.20 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act PS-11, Chandigarh has

been registered on the complaint of ASI Ravinder Singh PP-24 Chd. on

18.12.20 when he along with police party were performing the patrolling duty

near new beat box, Sector 25 Chd. At around 9.30 PM, on a secret information

they nabbed one person namely Sunny @ Galia (29 yrs) S/o Sh. Sudesh Kumar

R/o # 3588, Sector 25 Chd from near Govt. Toilets Sec-25 while he was

carrying one Desi Katta 12 bore along with one live cartridge without any valid

permit or license.
