Poetry and verse: Verse : is writing in which stressed or unstressed syllables are organized into rhythmic pattern. Rhythms may be further emphasized by the use of rhyme. Verse: the literary device verse denotes a single line of poetry. The term can also be used to refer to stanza or other part of poetry. Poetry: is the expression of thoughtful ideas in relatively few words. The defining features of poetry are complexity of meaning and conciseness. Not all verse is poetry . Not all poetry is written in verse 1
