Wildrness Rivers There are riversthat I know, born of iceand melting snow, white with rapids, swift to roar, with no farmsalong their shore, with no cattlecome to drinkat a staid

swift and light,

flick that current

in their flight.

I have felt

my heart beat high,

Watching

with exultant eye,

those pure rivers

which have known

no will, no purposebut their own

and welcoming brink,

with no millwheel,ever turning,

in that cold

relentless churning.

Only deer

and bear and mink

at those shallows

coe to drink,

only paddles,

The Childrens Hour Between the dark and the daylight,

When the night is beginning to lower,

Comes a pause in the day's occupations,

That is known as the Children's Hour.

I hear in the chamber above me

The patter of little feet,

The sound of a door that is opened,

And voices soft and sweet.

From my study I see in the lamplight,

escending the broad hall stair,

Alice, and laughing Allegra,And Edith with golden hair.

A whisper, and then a silence:Yet I know by their merry eyesThey are plotting and planning togetherTo take me by surprise. A sudden rush from the stairway,A sudden raid from the hall!By three doors left unguardedThey enter my castle wall! They climb up into my turretO'er the arms and back of my chair; If I try to escape, they surround me;They seem to be everywhere. They almost devour me with kisses,Their arms about me entwine,Till I think of the Bishop of BingenIn his Mouse-Tower on the Rhine!

Do you think, O blue-eyed banditti,Because you have scaled the wall,Such an old mustache as I amIs not a match for you all! I have you fast in my fortress,And will not let you depart,But put you down into the dungeonIn the round-tower of my heart. And there will I keep you forever, walls shall crumble to ruin,And moulder in dust away!

Be like the Bird Be like the bird, who Pausing in his flight On limb too slight Feels it give way beneath him Yet sings Knowing he has wings.

Anakylosaurus Clankity Clankity Clankity Clank! Ankylosaurus was built like a tank, its hide was a fortress as sturdy as steel, it tended to be an inedible meal.

It was armored in front, it was armored behind, there wasn't a thing on its miniscule mind, it waddled about on its four stubby legs, nibbling on plants with a mouthful of pegs.

Ankylosaurus was best left alone, its tail was a cudgel of gristle and bone,Clankity Clankity Clankity Clank!Ankylosaurus was built like a tank.

Who has Seen the wind?

Who has seen the wind?Neither I nor you:But when the leaves hang trembling,The wind is passing through. Who has seen the wind?Neither you nor I But when the trees bow down their heads, The wind is passing by.
