Write a script.
Write out questions for an interview.
Have the text ready to read.
Practice reading the text for fluency before you start recording.

Be sure to do a sound check.
Recording without a microphone -Speak louder and face the computer.
Recording with a microphone -Adjust as needed – too close popping
Sounds on t, p, b and s sound is sharp.
Find a quiet spot for recording. Especially if doing an interview.
Sometimes you want the backgroundnoises to create the sense of place.
Be sure to get permission if recording a meeting.
