Utility is an independent design company andcollaborative network of construction specialists doingthree usefully overlapping things: site audit, interiordesign and furniture-finding.While commissions andclients vary, projects share an experienced, straightforwardapproach to changing interior space at home, at workand in the community.

Audit a stand-alone service, or the beginning of acomplete design: you tell us what you want to achieveand we test the space –a room, or a building – to assessfabric, services and plan alteration. This allows you tocheck scope, costs and timing, understand what ispossible, and confidently decide how best to proceed.

Design all stages from audit, first ideas, permissions,appointing consultants, construction detail, lighting,specification and managing work on site.We keep asometimes-complex process simple, and believe thatgetting the thinking straight at the start is the key tofinishing well.

Furniture working with designer/makers, vintagedealers and contemporary suppliers we advise onfurniture, products and art, from a single piece tofitting-out a hotel, with expert knowledge of what isavailable and what is right for the job.
