The government of the Castilla y León region triggered the Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping Service for the production of delineation and grading maps over the affected areas in order to assess the damages in the areas of interest that are of great ecological value. The present map shows the fire damage grade assessment in the area of Portela de Aguiar (Spain). The thematic layer has been derived from pre- and post-event satellite imagery using a semi-automatic approach. The estimated geometric accuracy is 11 m CE90 or better, from native positional accuracy of the background satellite image. Products elaborated in this Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping activity are realized to the best of our ability, within a very short time frame, optimising the available data and information. All geographic information has limitations due to scale, resolution, date and interpretation of the original sources.
