The Dancing Orchid has had a wonderful first year of business with a warm and welcoming response from the Sidney residents along with visitors near and far. Shirley and Janet wish to thank everyone who’s made the first year such a great success. “We are so pleased to hear people commenting on the unique selection of giftware and the quality of the products that we select for the shop. One of our goals was to offer new and exciting products not found in other shops in Sidney.” It is with great excitement that we introduce two fantastic new product lines to The Dancing Orchid, Maxwell & Williams and THYMES Ltd. Body and Bath products. The THYMES Ltd. Company prides themselves on being ‘rooted in botanical tradition’ and ‘connecting through fragrance’. The Dancing Orchid is pleased to offer seven different body and bath scents including their newest fragrance, Agave Nectar and the full range of the Mandarin Coriander Kitchen and Cleaning line. Maxwell & Williams offers a unique and diverse collection that encompasses the entire spectrum of homewares from the kitchen to the tabletop. The Dancing Orchid is pleased to offer this wide variety of tabletop, cookware/bakeware, teapots and more. And for those looking to start their collection and those looking to build on what they’ve started, the shop is pleased to offer a gift registry for Maxwell & Williams customers. Let the staff at The Dancing Orchid help take the guess work out of wedding, bridal and birthday gift giving. And as we walk down to the waterfront from the high end of Beacon, we land upon Papyrus Cards and Gifts which is close to moving into it’s seventh year of business. In keeping with the tradition of this beautiful and colourful shop, customers will find a wide range of items to get us in the mood for Spring! The Jelly Bean rugs are a favourite. Bright, whimsical and fun, these affordable floor mats get softer with every wash. Papyrus Cards and Gifts continues to provide timeless classics such as Kitras Art glass, Basic Spirit Pewter, LARUS marchasite jewellery, Beba Bean knitted baby wear and a new favorite, Bucky Balls, which recently won the ‘Toy of the Year’ award. And of course we can’t forget to mention that between these two shops they’ve got your greeting card needs covered. You are sure to find that perfect card for those special people in your life.
