The Prime Minister’s XI is the premier event for corporate networking here in Canberra. Because the game doesn’t start until 2.20pm, guests don’t have to miss a day in the office, which allows the event to become an evening one based around dinner rather than lunch. It offers a great format for corporate entertaining and has become an event organisations want to be seen at.

The PM’s XI is such a great event to be associated with it enticed the 54-year old Sir Donald Bradman out of 14 years of retirement to captain the team for Menzies in 1963. An expectant crowd of 10 000 turned up to watch him, but had their hopes dashed when he was bowled for just four.
