PMI Baltimore Chapter Bishop/Kloch Memorial Scholarship Fund

• A total of Three scholarships were awarded 2006, 2007, & 2008

• In 2008 the PMI BC Bishop/Kloch Memorial Scholarship Fund

was transferred to PMI EF for administration and a $50,000

commitment made to maintain the scholarship over 5 years

• PMI BC will be awarding the 2010 scholarship at our joint

UMBC meeting on October 11, 2010

PMI Baltimore Chapter Bishop/Kloch Memorial Scholarship Fund

• Approved PMI BC Board of Directors in 2005 to honor Bob Bishop

and Joyce Kloch , who were founding members of the PMI

Baltimore Chapter. Both had a vision of advancing project

management practices through the education

• Implemented in 2005 with an annual Golf Tournament to raise

fund.

• Is designed to support the PMI Baltimore Chapter Membership in

the field of project management,. This tuition scholarship program

assists qualified students in obtaining degrees from accredited

academic institutions of higher learning in the field of project

management .

• PMI Baltimore Chapter has it’s restricted Bishop/Kloch Memorial

PMIWDC Academic Scholarship

The PWIWDC Academic Scholarship was created to promote and further academic and professional development education in project management. It provides the recipient a total of $2000 for pursuing a for-credit education in project management at qualifying institutions: The scholarship is administered through PMI's Educational Foundation.

Patton Scholarship

The Patton Memorial Scholarship program is open to any Washington, D.C. chapter member planning to attend a project management course provided by a PMI Registered Education Provider (REP), with the exception of members holding elected or appointed offices.

• Contact hours for non-academic education in project management to qualify for the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exam. • Admission to a PMP or CAPM exam preparation course. • Professional Development Units (PDUs) required for maintaining PMP certification.

UMT Scholarship

To promote and further academic and professional development education in project management, the UMT offered a non-academic scholarship to the PMIWDC membership that enables the recipient to take up to $2,000 worth of online UMT courses.

These scholarships will enable the recipients to take up to $2,000 worth of online courses at the University of Management and Technology to support their needs in academic or professional development education in project management. The scholarships are open to all PMIWDC members, with the exception of members holding elected or appointed offices.
