Textile containersTake waste clothing and shoes to a textile container, belonging to ‘Pastoor Vekemansfonds’. Visit www.pastoorvekemansfonds.nl for a container in your district.

Thrift shopTake discarded but still reusable goods (clothing, furniture, household goods) to thrift shop ‘Kringloop De Kempen’. At request, goods are picked up at your home address. Visit www.kringloopdekempen.nl for more information.

Recycling station ‘Milieustraat’Individuals can take all waste that is not collected door-to-door to recycling station ‘Milieustraat’ (rubble, building and construction waste, white and brown goods). Maximum overall amount of sorted waste is 2 cubic meters. Proof of identity is necessary.

Household hazardous waste translates in Dutch as ‘Klein Chemisch Afval’ (KCA). This includes:

Batteries, insecticides, mercury- containing products

Insecticides, spray cans

Thinner, turpentine, aerosols with content, paint waste and paint remover

Medicines

Every district is visited by the ‘Chemo car’ twice a year. You can take your KCA there. Visiting dates and locations are available at www.veldhoven.nl/afvalkalender. You can take KCA also to the recycling station ‘Milieustraat’ (free of charge).
