Their Opportunities(Areas to be improved.)• They have university internships therefore they can find out human capital.• There is a good background for telecommunication industry in Sri Lanka. Ex:- Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure• LankaCom is a subsidiary of Singapore therefore they can collect new technology.

Their Threats(Potential problems risks caused by external factors that their organization may face.)• There are more competitors in the market.

Organizing

Organizing is allocation of responsibilities, the grouping of workers’ activities, and the coordination andcontrol are all basic elements of organization structure.

Allocate resources and distribute authority inside the firm

They would like to use decentralization method to make decisions. They would wish to delegate and distribute the authority as much as possible whilst maintaining accountability to task bestowed and undertaken.

They use wide span of control to control business organization.

Wide span of management result in flat organization, which may lead to improved employee morale and productivity

as well as increased managerial accountability and responsibility.

Pros and cons of wide span of control

Pros: A wide span of control is less expensive because the business employees fewer managers. With only one manager, or a manager with a supervisor or team leader in management, the all employees work together under the same manager. Less supervision and control can create a more positive attitudes among employees, who appreciate the extra trust and freedom.       Cons: One person may have to give information to lots of others which can be very time consuming. Some workers may feel they lack personal contact with the manager, as the manager has many employees to supervise. Fewer promotional opportunities for the employees which can be de-motivating and bring down the morale of workers. It is also difficult for the manager to keep up with the work of all employees and to ensure that the employees are getting the work done. Increase the risk of wrong decision being made as subordinates may be less well trained or lack experience.

They use functional model to departmentalize in the organization

Departmentalize in the company as shown below………..

a managerial style that invites input from employees on all company decisions. The staff is

given pertinent information regarding company issues, and a majority vote determines the

course of action the company will take.

programs and motivation programs for his subordinates annually. He trains hissubordi-

nates, when they want to train and he empowers his subordinates.
