Everything in reading is a close read; have to read for DETAIL, can’t skim
GOAL = SLOW DOWN & REREAD
Have to know the vocabulary (non-examples are just as important as examples)

Word Problems
1st read = read through
2nd read = read and highlight what they don’t know or understand
3rd read = identify the goal
4th read = identify supporting details, formulas, or other info needed to answer the problem
