TEN O’CLOCK MASS UPDATE

I was happy to see the excellent response we had to the NEW TEN O’CLOCK MASS. I am grateful to

all of the school hall people who made the switch to the church. I can appreciate how this change of routine could be challenging for some. But, thanks be to God, the turnout was very good—especially for a summer Sunday—and the collection was also very good, the best regular Sunday Mass collection we have ever had (see the results below)! Please spread the word about the new TEN O’CLOCK MASS among your family members and friends.

Keep in mind that we have repaved and doubled the size of our church parking lot.

Also, please note that negotiations for the use of a nearby commercial parking lot for the TEN O’CLOCK MASS GOERS is going extremely well. I will have details for you regarding this development very soon.

Finally, Stricklin-Snively Mortuary continues to graciously allows us to use their parking lot so long as there is no conflict with any Sunday services they may have. —Fr. Peter Irving

FAREWELL RECEPTION FOR FR. ALAN

N ORBERTINE FATHER ALAN BERNANDER is offer-

ing his last official Mass at Holy Innocents today, Sunday, at 10:00am. Father will be gone for the next 6 weekends. He will be on va-cation and also conducting some retreats. Sadly, he won’t be return-ing to Holy Innocents after that, making today his last day in the parish.

Father Alan has been a wonderful help to me and has carried out with excellence his priestly ministry dur-ing the 4 years he was assigned to Holy Innocents as a “Sunday supply priest.”

We want to thank him for all the Masses said and Confessions heard during his time with us. Please plan on going to the church hall after the Mass for a light reception in Father’s honor. —Fr. Peter Irving
