Guidance and Counseling 6. The Pleasantville Board of Education advertised for bids for Non-

Public Transportation on two occasions; July 21, 2009 and August 11, 2009. The Pleasantville Board of Education received no bids on both occasions. Therefore, we will provide aid in lieu for the 2009-2010 school year.

7. Approval of a transportation jointure between Pleasantville School District and Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District (including constituent districts) for the 2009 extended day school year. The jointure involves Greater Egg Harbor Regional in the transport of one student to Y.A.L.E. School-Audubon (Route AY-1) for total cost of $7,189.96. The jointure also involves Washington Township in the transport of one student to Coastal Learning Center-Tuckerton (Route CST) District. Bass River in the transport of one student to Coastal Learning Center-Tuckerton (Route CST) for total cost of $877.36 with the cost being the responsibility of Washington Township School District. Bass River in the transport of one student to Coastal Learning Center-Tuckerton (Route CST) for a total cost of $877.36 with the cost being the responsibility of Bass River School District. Egg Harbor Township in the transport of two students to Coastal Learning Center-Tuckerton (Route CST) for a total of

$1,754.72, with the cost being the responsibility of Egg Harbor Township School District. Somers Point in the transport of one student to Y.A.L.E. School-Northfield (Route ACIT-1) for a total cost of $692.16 with the cost being the responsibility of Somers Point School District and Absecon in the transport of two students to ACIT (Route ACIT-1) for a total cost of $1,384.32. The transportation cost will be the responsibility of Absecon School District. A total cost of $12,775.88 due to the Pleasantville School District.

8. Student ID#1460015, D.T. to attend Y.A.L.E. School East, Inc. for the 2008-2009 school year at a per diem rate of $220.05.

12. 2008-2009 Displaced students Tuition Contract Agreement between the approved Camden Board of Education and the Pleasantville Board of Education for one student D.S. for term of May 5, 2009 through June 30, 2009, funds due to the district at a per diem rate of $36.00.

13. Renewal of the 3rd year TALX Corporation five year agreement for the 2009-2010 unemployment management claims service.

14. Jostens Photography proposal for the 2009- 2010 yearbook for the Pleasantville Middle School, 325 copies at $20.31 totaling $6,601.27

15. Lifetouch Studio photographers for the Pleasantville Middle School for the 2009-2010 school year at no cost to the district.

16. Approval of Atlantic County Special Services School District 2009 Extended School Year Agreement with the Pleasantville School District at $100.00 per diem per pupil for the period of July 6, 2009 through July 31, 2009.

17. RESOLUTION: PLEASANTVILLE BOARD OF EDUCATION AUTHORIZING REMINGTON, VERNICK & WALBERG ENGINEERS TO PREPARE AN ALTERNATIVES SITE ANALYSIS FOR THE EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER PURSUANT TO N.J.A.C. 19:34-1 et seq.

RESOLUTION NO. ___ WHEREAS, under Title 19 of the New Jersey Statutes, the New Jersey Legislature has established a New Jersey Schools Development Authority (“SDA”); and WHEREAS, Title 19 empowers the SDA, inter alia, to purchase land for and construct schools on behalf of certain designated SDA School Districts; and WHEREAS, the Pleasantville School District (“the District”) is an SDA School District; WHEREAS, the District has been awarded funding from the New Jersey Department of Education (“NJDOE”) for land acquisition and construction related to the development of an Early Childhood Development Center in Pleasantville; and WHEREAS, such funding is conditional on the District identifying and SDA and NJDOE approving an appropriate location for the Early Childhood Development Center; and WHEREAS, SDA has adopted rules (N.J.A.C. 19:34-1 et seq.) to assist SDA School Districts seeking to develop new facilities, and has made funding available for site identification, investigation and acquisition, feasibility studies, design work, site remediation, and other activities (“Preconstruction Activities”) required to prepare an application to NJDOE for approval of a school facilities project; and WHEREAS, N.J.A.C. 19:34-2.2 includes specific selection criteria to

assist SDA School Districts in identifying prospective school sites; and WHEREAS, the District requires the assistance of a Professional Planner to perform the analyses required under N.J.A.C. 19:34-2.2; and WHEREAS, Remington, Vernick & Walberg Engineers (“RV&W”), the District’s Engineer of Record, has on staff Professional Planners who are licensed in the state of New Jersey. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Pleasantville Board of Education hereby authorizes Remington, Vernick & Walberg Engineers, licensed Professional Planners in the State of New Jersey, to prepare an Alternative Site Analysis for the Early Childhood Development Center consistent with the requirements of N.J.A.C. 19:34-1 et seq. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such authorization shall be consistent with RV&W’s Scope of Services and Fee Proposal dated July 24, 2009 and attached hereto, and shall be billed as a Not to Exceed figure of $31,000.00, plus a printing estimate of $54.00 per Report document, with the final printing price to be determined once the report has been completed.

Supplemental Educational Services via No Child Left Behind Title I Funding will be provided to eligible students in our Pleasantville School District on a first-come/first-serve basis. Our three eligible schools are Pleasantville High School, Middle School, and South Main Street School. Providers have submitted their preliminary Contractual Service Agreements for the 2009-2010 school year to the Pleasantville Public School District Funded Programs Office. The Contractual Service Agreements have previously been reviewed by our Board Solicitor and approved by the Pleasantville Board of Education in the past. Attached are the Contractual Service Agreements with a copy of the NJ State Approved description of each Supplemental Educational Service Provider. The cost of these services is covered under No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Title I Supplemental Educational Services (SES) Funds Account Number 20-231-100-300-0000-545. The 2009-2010 New Jersey State Approved Per Pupil Allocation (PPA) for the District of Pleasantville has not been confirmed by NJDOE as of yet; however, is expected to be in the range of $2,700.00 to $3,181.00 per pupil and will be reflected on page (1) one of each contract upon confirmation.
