Summary:________joined us at the meeting and shared ideas for investigating horizontal and vertical motion by taking video of projectile motion and using logger pro to generate graphs. 3-4 days would be required for the investigation, with support from ____ and _____. Involves creating a visual scale, taking video, interpreting graphs produced, and guided questions. (Introductory activity) Let ______ know via e-mail if you are interested, so she can work with you to get the activity set up.

Catapult project: discussed design and grading. The student version was edited, plus notes were added to a teacher version to ensure grading is consistent across the group. _______ is sending the corrected version to hand out/post in blackboard. Project will be assigned on Friday, 10/23, and will be due 11/10. _______ is sending for copies for everyone.

Discussed allowing students who did not turn in a balloon car project to complete the calculations and explanation to get some points rather than a zero. It was agreed that students with a zero will be offered the opportunity to get the points (up to a 40).

Discussed grade repair and passing out grade repair forms. Previously, agreement had been reached as a group that physics students must have retaken at least one failing test, and have attended tutorials at least once to be eligible for grade repair.

For Thursday’s test, formulas will be given, but students will not be allowed to use foldables completed in class. Formulas include F=ma, kinematics formula, Fw=mg.

We will have PLC next Monday, so that we can focus on next six weeks during the pullout. We will discuss the Projectile Motion Test at that time, as decided in our last PLC meeting.
