Annual water consumption on the globe for all types of water supply amounts to 3300-3500 billion m³.

Most part of water after using it for domestic needs is returned to the rivers as wastewater.

The deficit of fresh water is already now becoming a world problem. Ever-growing needs of industry and agriculture in the water make all countries and scientists around the world to look for means to solve this problem.

The main sources of pollution and contamination of water bodies are insufficiently treated waste water of industrial and municipal enterprises, large breeding complexes, production wastes in the mining of ore minerals, waters of mines, processing and alloy of timber; water dropping of water and rail transport, wastes of primary processing of flax, pesticides and etc.

Today the numerous methods of water purification have developed - mechanical filtration, hydrocyclone filtration, ozonation, hydrocavitation processing, acoustic treatment, UV treatment, passing an electric current, biochemical supplements, X-ray treatment, the shock waves, chlorination, UV and X-ray treatment.

But the application of most of the specified methods requires substantial costs or implies the use of harmful substances for human body.

Experimental confirmation of the effectiveness of the method: High efficiency of discharge bactericidal impact: o on E. coli (reduction to 10 times the initial content):

ɳ ≤ 10-4 kWh / liter.o on coliphages:

ɳ ≤ 5 10-5 kWh / liter.o on Christjsporidium (bacterial species, resistant to chlorine). Almost complete (~ 100%) water treatment of parahlorfenolov

and pentachlorophenol, efficiency:

ɳ ≤ 2 10-3 – 2 10-2 kWh / liter. Almost complete (~ 100%) expansion of pesticides admixture,

efficiency:

ɳ ≈ 2 10-3 kWh / liter. According to analysis of the Certification Control and Analytical Center (MSU), the

quality of the treated water on indicators of (the color of water, turbidity, indicator pH, the presence of ammonia, Fe, Pb, Cr, fluorine, chlorine, nitrates and sulfates) completely satisfies the EU standards.

As a result of processing the contents of bacteria and viruses in

water decreased to European standards.

The project provides the technology of plasma chemical wastewater treatment, based on the formation of a high-voltage pulse-periodic discharge in water using a specially developed technique and equipment.

The technology is a plasma processing of flowing water in a specially designed multi-electrode discharge device with the injection of gas in the interelectrode space.

Constructive solution allows effectively affect on bacterial, organic and chemical pollutants in water due to the formation of high-voltage pulsed-periodic discharge in water.

Technology Features:

Excitation of the discharge in gas bubbles;

High degree of contact between the plasma and the liquid;

Does not use reagents;

Easy adaptability to existing systems of water purification;

The design of discharge device eliminates the main drawback of known electrical discharge treatment systems, lies in their relatively small lifetime because of destruction plasma-forming electrodes. Lifetime of discharge devices exceeds 1000 hours of continuous operation;

Processing of water can be carried out as a cascaded manner and parallel flows.

Complex simultaneous synergistic exposure on chemical, bacterial and organic pollutants;

Minimal power inputs on the plasma excitation;

High cleaning efficiency due to high degree of coupling of the plasma and water;

Low energy cost of the cleaning process: from 6 kWh/m3 to 80 kWh/m3 (depending on the type and degree of contamination);

High lifetime of discharge device (≥1000 hours of continuous operation);

Simplicity of construction and manufacturing, a relatively low cost price.

4. Competitive advantages of the Project :

In 2012, the operating experimental unit of plasma chemical wastewater

treatment has been built.

Directions of project commercialization:

The market value of one product unit: $16 000 – $34 000.

Russian market capacity amounts to 35,000 units, the planned share - 10-15% / 3500-5250 units / 379,17-568,75 million $. Cash-flow royalty 10% for 5 years: 37,92-56,87 million $.

European market capacity amounts to 160,000 units, the planned share – 3-5% / 4800-8000 units / 518,4-864 million $. Cash-flow 10% royalty for 5 years: 51,84-86,4 million $.

The capacity of global market amounts to 700,000 units, the planned share - 3 % / 21000-35000 / 2275-3791,67 million $. Cash-flow royalty 10% for 5 years: 227,5-379,17 million $.

Proposal for investors: Needs capital investments: $0,7 - 0,9 mln. The share of investors' participation in the project: 25-30%. Term return on investment: 3-5 years.

Purpose of investment: The carrying out of a complex of R&D works, development activities for the creation and testing of prototype basic universal module of plasma chemical wastewater treatment system; adjustment of a technology on an industrial scale; certification and marketing activities.

Proposal for partners :

The creation of joint ventures with engineering companies. Participation of Plazma-pro Ltd.: license, scientific and technical support.

CURRENT STATUS:

In 2013, the project has received Skolkovo participant status, which provided tax preferences in the form of exemption from the duties of the taxpayer's of profit tax and VAT for a period of ten years.

Working model of plasma chemical wastewater treatment device has been created and tested.

Installation experiments of plasma chemical wastewater treatment have been conducted, expected results have been confirmed.

In 2014-2015, it is planned to create a working prototype of the basic universal module of plasma chemical wastewater treatment system with an automated control system.
