La Asociación de Industriales de Puerto Rico (AIPR) estableció una alianza con el PGA Puerto Rico Open, torneo oficial del PGA TOUR. El acuerdo entre ambas organizaciones tiene múltiples componentes, diseñados para añadir valor a los socios de la AIPR y promover las oportunidades de hacer negocios en la isla, en línea con la misión del Tour. Como parte de esta alianza, la AIPR llevará a cabo por primera vez el PRMA Golf Tour 2019, un torneo de golf en tres torneos individuales. La participación en el PRMA Golf Tour será en dos categorías, “Amateurs” y Profesionales. Los “Amateurs” jugarán en formato “Two Person Best Ball” y los que lleguen en el primer y segundo lugar (Gross y Net) en la ronda final participarán en el Pro-Am del Puerto Rico Open del 2020. Los Profesionales en “Individual Stroke Play”. El PRMA Golf Tour 2019 consistirá de dos torneos individuales para cualificar y una tercera ronda final. El primer torneo se llevará a cabo el primer día de la Convención Anual de la AIPR en el Wyndham Grand Río Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort, el 30 de mayo de 2019. El segundo torneo será en el Palmas Athletic Club (Palmas del Mar), el 1 de noviembre de 2019. La final para clasificar para el Pro-Am se llevará a cabo en El Legado en Guayama, el 6 de diciembre de 2019.
