PlasticAwarenessWeekWelcometotheOneMoreGeneration“PlasticAwarenessWeek”program.OurcurriculumwasdevelopedasawaytofurthereducateyourstudentsaboutPlasticandPlasticPollution.
ThefoundersofOneMoreGenerationaretwoenterprisingelementarystudents(Carter,age10.5andhissisterOlivia,age9)whocareaboutourenvironmentandaboutsavingendangeredspecies.Theirgoalwiththisprogramistoeducateandexcitestudentstogetinvolvedwithbeingpartofthesolutiontoourever‐growingplasticpollutionproblem.
The21stcenturyskillsetisstronglyembeddedineachsessionthroughproblemsolving,innovation,criticalthinkingandcontextuallearning.Mediaisdiscussedandanalyzedandstudentscommunicatetheirthoughtswitheachotheraftereachinstructionalsession.Contentisengagingforalllearnersthroughactivelearningstrategiesandtherearespecificopportunitiesforstudentstotakeactionbasedontheirnewknowledge.
Purpose:ThepurposeistoprovidefactualinformationaboutthetypesofplasticpollutionwecreatehereinAmericaandtosuggestsimplechangeseachoneofuscanincorporateintoourdailyliveswhichwillhaveanimmediateimpactonourenvironment.
