Exxon Mobile Flare System
What is Flare System?Gas flare or flare stack is a gas
combustion device used in industrial plant.
It consist of a flare stack and pipes that feed gas to the stack.
FunctionFlare is a system that is important
safety deviceFlare system are used to manage
small volume of waste gas that cannot be efficiently captured and returned to the system for processing.
Flare stack is commonly used for burning of flammable gas released by pressure relief valve during unplanned over-pressuring of plant equipment.
Flare are also used as an outlet for gas during maintenance and equipment repairs.
How It Works
Electrical Supply and Distribution System
Functions Provide power to all support
equipmentDistribute amount of electricity to
all equipment in plantProvide back up power in case of
shortage
Types Generationgenerate power station from
naturalTransmissionBulk transfer electrical energy
from generating power plant to electrical substation
DistributionDeliver electricity to consumer
Importance of SystemElectrical transferred
economically and reliablePower loss can be minimized by
placing transformersOperating efficiency can be
maintained at high level
