What I used it for? What have I learnt from it? What

have you learnt from using each thing mentioned in

relation to your production work.

FUJIF ILM F INEPIX DIGITAL

CAMERA.

I used the Fujifilm finepix digital camera to obviously take

pictures but of different things, like I took pictures of locations

which we then want onto plan where to have our location. Taking

pictures of storyboards, certain pictures that then I planned to

put onto my poster and website.

GOOGLE MAPS

Google maps helped me to plan for location with filming etc. I

planned where I was going to shot for my poster, I chose

somewhere quite close to me and which was easy to get to. Then,

for the horror trailer Google maps helped again to work out

where look good and scary, mysterious location and then if people

could easily access it from their houses etc.

IMDB.COM

I used IMDB.com for research as well planning. IMDB.com is a website

were you are able to look at films, they have every film on their so for

research our group used it to research names for films. I used it then to

research the best horror films and why they were so popular.

I used IMDB.com for planning when planning the type of poster and website I wanted I was able to look at so many films poster as it normal would show them, so I was able to look a certain ones then which ever I really liked I went to research even more via the internet. I was also able to look at cast list so you could see what kind of characters appeared in what type of films. This helped me to learn more about what I wanted in my production work and develop my cast list and not just picked friends that I liked, they had to suit the character and image I wanted to create.

STORYBOARDS

Storyboarding is a process that is very key in planning it helps you plan what

you want to happen in your trailer, it helps to show it shot by shot. And helps

you plan how your going to show the story through the shots.

I learnt from storyboarding that it is not as simple as you think it is going to be, it quite a long process and really key to think quite a lot about the shots and how it shows the story. In relation of production work I think that without storyboarding it would have been a lot more difficult to do the trailer because we would not have no were to have started in terms of filming.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL RECORDER WITH

AUDIO TECHNIA TELEMIC

I have mentioned the olympus digital recorder before in research. However, I used it differently in Planning I used it in terms of our synopsis for The Thicket trailer. We asked people what they thought about our synopsis and asked them if there was anything they felt could be changed. We recorded this because we felt again it was easy to access if need be again. I learnt that as said before in the previous slideshare it a great way to keep information from people.
