Long Term Projects
Crossroads project Meeting with the Town of Amity on December 11 took place with Developers.
Public meeting moved to January 27 at 10 am with master plan.
Now anticipating August 2018 construction start.
Waterline Continue working with Engineer, anticipating summer 2018 construction start.
Friendship continues to cooperatively work on the project.
GE Lufkin facility Donation paperwork signed and closing for ACIDA will be held in December 2017.
ACIDA has finalized details with a regional company for the GE Lufkin facility and is ready for signing.
Met with Town of Wellsville Board twice regarding the GE Lufkin facility.
Park and Ride Construction on target and paving completed with striping completed final cleanup in the spring when
weather is appropriate.
Bioenergy Development and Commercialization Center (BDCC) Final application is being processed for the Economic Development Authority (EDA) the Bioenergy
Development and Commercialization Center (BDCC) now a $1.5 million grant and funds are allocated to the
project pending final grant approval.
Follow up with NYS Commissioner for Agriculture Richard Ball staff regarding potential state funding based
on meeting held on November 9, 2017 and will be ongoing.
December meeting with SIEMENS continues to develop a true partnership on the BDCC project regarding
process control and other related industry support.
Renewable Energy Projects Alle-Catt Wind Farm by Invenergy that is located in Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Wyoming County. Centerville in
Allegany County has been identified as a potential office and they have called indicting they are moving
forward with the project. Overall the project is a $570 million capital investment project.

Attended Appalachian Teaching Project presentations in Washington, DC to Appalachian Regional
Commissions senior staff where Alfred State Students presented on their master plan for Canaseraga.
Meetings Leading the Economic Development Committee and also on the Strategic Planning Committee for Incubator
Works.
Advertising Three Expansion Solutions Magazine ads
Next issue focusing on manufacturing.
Business in Focus Magazine
Allegany County will be highlighted again in the December Magazine.
Add submitted for Allegany County.
Digital Advertising
Will be reviewing Programmatic Solutions program with 500,000 Impressions over a 4 month run with
custom audience targeting optimization. The goal was to develop leads through targeted banners linked to
site searches driving to the Allegany Website pages.
Marketing Final report submitted by Site Selectors who visited Allegany County October 16-18, 2017 to review buildings
and green field sites.
Finalizing sketches for potential industrial sites in the county to be used in the marketing effort.
We continue responding to notices from Invest Buffalo Niagara when they are looking for property and leads
for companies that want to reside in Western NY.
Continuing to develop the list of potential buildings and land for development in the county.
Planning for a downtown Revitalization Initiative grant for Alfred.
Subgroup of the Allegany County Economic Development Committee to develop a program to engage
students and alumni at the three colleges regarding employment and economic development in Allegany
County.

December 2017 Report Office of Planning Projects:
A. Allegany County Planning Board: • Planning Board meets tonight December 20, 2017 at 7PM at the Crossroads Center.
B. GIS: • Staff continues to provide maps on request to various departments and individuals as
requested. • We have participated in webinars related to the upcoming addressing project that is being
spurred on by the US Census project that will be coming for our review in February. • Mapped all substations within the County.
C. Park & Ride: • The lot is effectively completed. Only a few remaining items to be completed that include,
seeding, fencing and basic site cleanup. The remaining items will be done next spring. The project is being wrapped up from a financial standpoint.
D. Shared-Services: • We received three responses to our RFP. The pricing proposals were substantial and more
than we had expected. No meetings are scheduled at this time. Administrative
• Reviewed audits for Planning, Development and Tourism as well as Payroll. • Reviewed budgets for Planning and Development for remainder of 2017 spending.
Planning Meetings • Presented at the Planning & Economic Development Committee. • Presented and attended the Allegany County Planning Board meeting • Chaired the Allegany County Land Bank Board • Attended the Genesee River Wilds Meeting • Participated in Website Update Conference Calls • Participated in Park and Ride final Construction meeting • Attended the Administrator’s Department Head Meeting
Development Projects: A. County Website:
• Have engaged in an effort to make the website compliant with ADA requirements. • Continue to make updates as requested by other departments as well as updating the
events, buildings available for lease/sale database and improve the overall functionality of the site for users.
• Staff completed the webinar class series on making website better for marketing the County for Development;
B. Shovel Ready Sites: • Received a draft report from the Site Selectors related to the tour we took of many
Greenfields and buildings. • Expect Final sketches for potential industrial sites in the county to be used in the marketing
effort this week. • Prepared a study of sites that are greater than 35 acres and close to municipal water
services. Have identified a number of potential new Greenfield sites that meet access to infrastructure, slope considerations, etc.
• Prepared a study of sites that are greater than 150 acres and within 2 miles of substations and would be appropriate to consider for certain electrical sitings.

The Watchful wild life program continues to move forward with developing a committee to
include DEC, AU GRW and more to work with a framework to bring tourist to enjoy Allegany
county’s natural beauty and outdoor recreation. Ongoing. This project is on hold until summer
and fall events end.
