TO LEGALLY MARRY IN FIJI, YOU NEED TO

• Be single, widowed or divorced• Not be related (bloodline relationship)• Be 18 years of age and over• Any witnesses must be 18 years old and over• Both spouses must be physically present to obtain their

special license.

YOU’LL ALSO NEED TO PROVIDE

• Birth Certificates• Valid passport for both parties• 1 recent passport size photo for both parties• Single Status Letter for: 1) non-resident marrying in Fiji 2) non-resident marrying a local 3) former citizens of Fiji with two years & above residency abroad• Divorce Papers (if either party is divorced)• Death Certificate ( if either party’s spouse is deceased)• Two witnesses & their photo ID• Name of Marriage Officer/Denomination• Marriage applicant from Japan must produce the Koseki –Shouhon to

certify their personal details• If documents are in other languages, certified translated copies in

English language must be provided.
