SAVE OUR COWSSAVE OUR VILLAGES

• Our West-influenced intellectuals sneer at themention of the cow. The same intellectualsfirst sneered at yoga. Now it is a fashion to dopranayama at cocktail parties. They sneeredat our sannyasis as 'godmen'. Now they flockto ashrams with their white friends ever sincethe Beatles. Who knows, they may soon havea cow in their backyards.

-FORMER UNION MINISTER

“There seem to be three ways for a nation toacquire wealth.

The first is by war, as the Romans did, inplundering their conquered neighbours. This isrobbery.

The second by commerce, which is generallycheating.

The third by agriculture, the only honest way, where a man receives a real increase of the seedthrown into the ground, in a kind of continualmiracle, wrought by the hand of God in his favouras a reward for his innocent life, and his virtuousindustry.”

Founding Father of the USA

“It was, of course, Gandhi's policy toconcentrate his organization in village life, taking to simple life and cow protection. Butjust after Mahatma Gandhi's disappearance, hischief disciple, Pandit Nehru, planned for up-to-date organized cow-slaughter house. So this isour position. If you have understood KrishnaConsciousness science, then you will try torevive this cultural life in India.”

The whole premise of Varnashrama is solidlybased on cows, (Go-brahmanaya hitaye ca), andtheir protection. This makes it plausible thatthe soil then comes first, for without incrediblesoil, how can there be incredible cows? Theonly way in which soil of unimaginablequality can be created, is to use cows in aholistic, very intensive rotational grazingsystem, commonly known as "Mob-grazing".

A recent survey shows that by year 2020 (4years from now), 50% of India’s populationwill have relocated to the cities. In NorthAmerica, estimates show that 98% of thepopulation lives in towns and cities. Theresult is a loss of interest in traditional valuesand practices, increased social problems, rise ofunemployment and neglect of agriculture andcow protection, among many other social andecological ills.

The body of a cow is 100% pure and brings all auspiciousness wherever she stays.

Ghee (clarified butter) is the best cookingmedium. It gives aroma, nutritional value andgood health.

RETENTION OF FOOD VALUE IN THE BODY

1. Grain food value remains for 5 days

2. Milk food value remains for 7 days

3. Yogurt food value remains for 20 days

4. Ghee food value remains for 30 days

Cow dung (manure) is the most economicalcooking medium and also gives the greatestflavor to food.

One can prepare hundreds of nutritiouspreparations simply from cow milk.

The dung and urine of cows and bulls, inaddition to being the best natural fertilizer forthe soil, are both of high medicinal value. Theycan cure serious diseases like cancer.
